short grain white rice

the granule is about 3 mm - 5 mm
white
i wonder how calorie in it ? after cooking
coz i really dont know some programs say it is about 300 calorie each 100 gm after cooking
some say it is 200 calorie after cooking
and some say it is only 125 calorie after cooking
what is the truth about that ?
thats the rice where i live in egypt
it is called egyptian rice

    Weigh it before cooking. That's the only way to get it right.

    The additional weight after cooking is absorbed liquid.

    Dry weight is more reliable, and the calories per 100gr dry rice vary very little depending on type of rice.

    To give you an idea, there is a total of 7 Cal difference between short grain and long grain unenriched rice per 100g of uncooked rice. Basically less than 2% of total Calories.

    A generic rule of thumb is that cooked to uncooked rice is about 3:1. In other words, generally speaking 100g of uncooked rice will absorb enough water to yield about 300g of cooked rice by the time most of us will call it cooked!

    But this is a generic rule of thumb and is highly dependent on how you prepare and cook your rice.

    NOTE: if rice preparation for YOU involves more than water you should also account for the extra ingredients. For example: if I add a 10g cube of knorr or a 14g tablespoon of butter to my rice... I better be logging them as ingredients in my food log or in my recipe.
