If I and my stubby little short body can do it, anyone can :) Haha. It just takes time and a strict diet. I love to motivate and support people. Let me know if you need some encouragement!

well they are made in the kitchen however i'd disagree you have to eat clean to lose fat, a caloric deficit is a caloric deficit

Congrats on your abs, however eating clean had nothing to do with it.

You can eat super clean with no junk food at all, go over your TDEE or even eat at maintenance and you will never see your abs. Period.

I have an honest question, though. Assume that two people are eating at a deficit and lifting heavy, do you find that most bodies can do the same thing with a diet of primarily "junk food" calories that they can with a diet of primarily "clean" calories? Do fitness models typically eat fast food and Twinkies?

Beautiful!!! WTG! Great inspiration. I doubt I'll ever see that after 267 pounds, four babies and 54 years of living. :ohwell:

i guess that depends, are we talking about identical macros just "junk" vs "clean"? assuming we are, i don't think it will make a difference in body composition (healthwise is a diff story as "junk" are not as nutrient dense as so called "clean" foods)

Yeah. Maybe short term you can get cut but, I still suspect that, over time, if you're not getting the right micronutrients, your body will suffer -- quite possibly aesthetically.

while it's ideal to get your mircos from whole foods, you can still supplement to make up for any deficiencies. people get too caught up with food choices for changing body comp (is this food alright to eat or is this food bad for weight loss, pfft) when macros and total caloric intake are much much much more important then actual food choices imo

Everyone's genetics are obviously different however the scheme still works. Granted no one in their right mind that is trying to be atleast somewhat healthy would do nothing but eat junk food all day every day of the week but the method still works. Acquiring abs is simply a matter of losing the fat that is covering the muscle. This happens in your midsection, your arms, your chest, legs, back, everywhere as you cannot spot reduce.

Therefore when you lose the weight and burn the fat by eating at calorie deficit while consuming your minimum protein macro requirements each and every day, and doing some kind of resistance training, you will lose the weight, burn the fat and discover your abs.

You do NOT have to eat clean to obtain this. Granted your health may be in jeopardy if you eat nothing but twinkies and ho ho's all day long, but the method still works. A doctor/researcher lost a ton of weight by the twinkie diet, a few vegetables and a whey protein shake every day.

When it comes to losing weight/burning fat, your body does not know the difference between a 6oz chicken breast and a slice of pepperoni pizza. Your body understand proteins, fats, carbs, micronutrients AND your TDEE vs Calorie Intake.

I'm familiar with the Twinkie Diet doctor, but he didn't exactly end up with a six pack, did he? I'm just wondering why so many fitness models and body builders are so neurotic about clean eating if there is absolutely no advantage as far as body composition goes.

Eating clean seemed to be the only thing that helped me obtain mine. Every body is different. I love eating clean and could never go back to junk food. I love my body wayyy too much and I love the energy I feel :P
