Question of the Day- Day 70!!!
Is there anything your afraid of after you lose your weight?
**Me- Where do I begin lol for starters I am afraid of the loose skin I am most likely going to have , 2nd thing would be maintaining. I am afraid of not being able to every live "normally" and not have to count calories everyday and always be worrying about what I am eating. The 3rd thing is my personality/ attitude. I am afraid to see how it may change good or bad and how it may affect others.

I agree with the loose skin. After an almost 11 pound baby and a c-secion, I think my choices are pretty much having loose skin or filling them with fat (or surgery, but I wouldn't be willing to do that).0

Loose skin is definitely a concern...
Wrinkles...already have some.
Wondering if my social life will change....
Still excited to get there though, not going to worry about things that haven't happened yet.0 -
After I lose the weight I am scared I will put it back on.0

When I started my journey, I never thought I would succeed at all, never mind 107 pounds. Its funny cuz i never once stopped to think about what I won't like about being thin. And now that I have come this far, there is nothing I don't like about being thin - LOL. Sure, I have loose skin----thats okay, its better than being unhealthy and obese. Yes, I am always thinking about eating the wrong thing that may make me gain weight, but thats what I need to do......it was the lack of that mentality when I was obese that made me obese. SO.don't sweat it......move on without thinking about that stuff.0

that I get stretch marks from losing weight, even if they fade u can still see them0

Ironic this comes up today.
The loose skin thing has hit me in a way nothing else has. The fact that I'm almost certainly gonna get it is making me doubt this whole journey. Nothing since i started has even come close to dampening my resolve, but this is threatening to actually make me stop.
What's the point?
So ill go from not taking my shirt off due to my fat belly, to not taking my shirt of because of of ugly, unsightly loose skin everywhere.
So why the **** am i even bothering?
Ahh, sod it. I'm going back to bed.0 -
I think we all have concerns about these things at some point or another.
Part of the journey is learning to like the person inside as well as outside as we transform our life and ultimately our appearance.
I don't think you should worry too much about it, you will feel better and be healthy and you will enjoy the benefits of losing the wt.
You will keep it off b/c you worked hard and don't want to go back to being overwt.
Yes, you will have to always be mindful of what and how much you eat and how much movement you get....as will we all. You are not alone.
Keep pushing forward.
We will get there. We can do this.0 -
When I reach my goal weight I am wondering if I'll ever need a tummy tuck! I have had 3 c-sections and that skin never seems to get firm enough. I have never thought about surgery until the last few months.0

Remember this part :flowerforyou:
The loose skin thing has me a little freaked out, too, admittedly. BUT!! Having a heart attack like my 43 year old friend did a few weeks ago (I'm 42) freaks me out a helluva lot more.0 -
Mine is maintaining. Only because this is the 3rd time in 13 years that I have tried to lose these 30 pounds. Well that's a lie - this time it's 40! I did it twice so I can do it again.......is harder this time........I'm guessing because I'm older now.0

the skin for sure
and also gaining it back...story of my life:)0 -
I'm worried I won't be able to leave the house because my husband won't be able to keep his hands off me.0

Crap. Now I have to be afraid of that too. Sigh. :blushing:0 -
I think that when I finally get down to my goal weight, I still won't be happy and also that all the weight will just creep back on. :ohwell:0

Sounds like it's time for us to practice the elusive art of mindfulness! Live in the moment, folks. Plan for the future, but live in the moment. It's all we have!0

I'm afraid that once I have kids, I will be fat again =(0
