    Friday I took a long walk but not longer than the ones earlier in the week. Saturday is my rest day. Sunday we couldn't go to Aquafit since we had to give my sister-in-law to the airport but since my husband had today off we went this morning. I did get some walking in later on Sunday. I plan to have a long walk tomorrow.

    @CupcakeCrusoe @nebslp the weighted hoop is definetly a good workout. I am really good going only one direction though. It's fun too.

    I met my goal today of walking to the nearest cafe (1.1 miles) and having breakfast and walking back. I have walked there with N last week. but only walked a few blocks back before getting a ride home the rest of the way. So I am up to 2.2 mile walk but with a rest in between. Greenlake is 2.8 miles. There are places I can rest there too.

    @jenbroussard71 Nice progress and so close to Onderland! Hope Riley is doing better. I have had biopsies done in this situation and it was nothing. So don’t worry until you have more information. Years later I did get diagnosed with breast cancer but it was slow growing and not too big. I am in survivorship and so far so good. Exercise is the best for your health so you are good there.
    @nebslp All those happy faces! I was sad last week too. Glad you got some good outdoor time.
    @CupcakeCrusoe Hope your muscle is better.

    @KeriA Thank you for sharing your experience. Riley is getting better. We have worked with the cardiologist and vet to get a plan regarding her treatment going forward. She will be on blood pressure medication for the rest of her life. She does have some damage to the right side of her heart and narrowing of the vessels in her lungs. This all seems to be a result of having heart worms and the treatment for them. Riley is a rescue. I adopted her when she was just under two years old. She had already had at least one litter. I want to say some pretty ugly things to the backyard breeders that had her first. They were so irresponsible in not providing her with testing and preventative medicine. She is such a sweetheart and does not deserve what she is going through. But she is with the family she deserves now and is treated like a spoiled little princess. Thank you again for sharing and the well wishes for my baby girl.

    Good morning everyone!

    176.8 this morning, bringing the average down. I've been weighing in at almost exactly my average for a couple days, which was a bummer, but it's fine!

    yesterday:
    ❌3rd / 4 workouts per week (I had a long walk, but I'm not counting walks) but I hadn't planned to do it yesterday anyway
    ✅> 8k steps
    ✅<= 1600 cal
    ✅32 minute self care
    ✅> 64oz water
    ❌>= 128g protein (125, so close!)

    I do this every couple years, y'all. In the mid summer, I think to myself, oh, wouldn't it be great to make a themed advent treat calendar for my sister and sisters in law and best friend and mom? Yeah, absolutely! Then I buy the materials. Then me-in-November is like, why did I do this.

    I'm more than halfway through now putting together french tea cookie/cake/candy advent calendars! It's a pain! It's going to be cool when it's done! Lol.

    My right adductor is feeling much better, I babied it Monday night at the gym, and it looks like I babied it enough. Now I just have to baby it a little more tomorrow at the gym, haha. Or, cancel on the gym, because splits class is hard on those adductors, and just do cardio at home. One of those.

    Today! Hopefully I get to drive a car with some of the features I want and order my car! That would be great! Tonight is pirate night with the boys, dinner is once more a hodgepodge of leftovers from the party Sunday, but hopefully the last day of that.

    @nebslp upping that protein really does help!

    @jenbroussard71 I'm glad your visit to WDW was good! I'm crossing all my fingers and toes for good results both for your mammogram and Riley's issues. I'm sorry to hear about her early life, that's really tough. :heart: decorating for christmas is so fun!

    @KeriA I love the dedication to the workouts!

    Have a great day, everyone!

    Well, Wednesdays are my weigh-in days, I stepped on the scale and it showed 181.5! A 2.5 lb drop from last week! You think I should be dancing around, but my measurements have not changed at all. Am I losing water, or worse, muscle? On the plus side, I feel good, with good energy.

    1. posture exercises :)
    2. sweep the deck :)
    3. 8 hr 31 min of sleep :)
    4. Photo organization :)
    5. Create I plan to work on assembling one row tonight.
    6. French :) Will be changing goal to ?/12 hours of activity (250+ steps every hour)

    I've been working hard on increasing my movement throughout the day because of an article I read about the negative effects inactivity has on the brain. I'm also tracking my active (250 steps per hour) on my fitbit. This definitely call for a chart (LOL). Seriously, I have my old records and will just start adding my new numbers in that notebook. And since my French habit is firm (927 days straight), I'm changing the French goal to active hours after today but need to look at my past averages to come up with a number.

    I finished going through the 8,350 photos on my photostick and putting the "people pictures" in individual family folders on another flashdrive. If I wouldn't have had this as a daily goal, I doubt I'd be this far along.

    The posture exercises are getting easier and if I forget them in the morning (because I'm so excited about sweeping (LOL) I always do them later in the day.

    Success really does depend on consistent behaviors over a long period of time. WoW! I'm finally figuring that out !?!?!?

    @lisakatz2 2.5 lbs down is great! You are on a roll:) It would be nice if weight loss was linear but it's pretty up and down. I think reduction in measurements is kinda like the whoosh. It happens when it happens and just gotta keep going even when you don't see the changes.

    @KeriA You are almost ready for the lake walk!! You're making great "strides"...see what I did there?!

    @kristinwoods919 Your post got me to thinking. If water swirls clockwise in the Northern Hemisphere, would swirling a hulu hoop follow the same principle and be easier in the opposite direction in the Southern Hemisphere? Probably not :wink:

    @CupcakeCrusoe Your advent calendar project sounds so cool! Dreaming is always so much easier than getting things done. I wish I had a nickel for every project I wanted to do but didn't...yet. I'm sure you'll finish on time. And did you like the car you drove and get one ordered??
    I love that your weight average just keeps slipping down! One tenth of a pound+ at a time. Consistent, persistent, and determined!!

    @jenbroussard71 You are SO close to Onederland! That is inspiring to me and makes me feel hopeful. Good luck with your upcoming tests. Waiting is so hard but you're keeping busy and that helps keep your mind from worrying. It's good the vet was able to help Riley feel better. Hoping she continues improving. She deserves only good things to come.

    Time to move again. I have some sewing to do so I can check off that create goal for a change!

    Good morning everyone!

    Weighed in in the 176's today, so my average is now officially 178, which means I've lost two pounds in two weeks, exactly on schedule.

    yesterday:
    ❌3rd / 4 workouts per week (I had a long walk, but I'm not counting walks, I didn't have a workout planned anyway)
    ✅> 8k steps
    ❌<= 1600 cal (1610)
    ✅32 minute self care
    ✅> 64oz water
    ❌>= 128g protein (~118, I'll explain)

    I did go to the dealership yesterday, drove a car with super cruise, liked it, and so I ordered my car! It's this one. The color is a lovely gray with iridescent purple sheen :kissing_heart:. I was there later than I thought (as usually happens at dealerships), so by the time I got home, my planned leftovers dinner had been eaten, so, starving, I popped a spicy beef patty into the microwave. Delicious, but not as high protein as my planned dinner, so I went slightly over cal for less protein, haha. Planning makes a difference!

    My new car gets here in about a week, I'm so excited. And then we're getting the bidirectional charger with batteries for the house, so our solar panels can store energy in the batteries, we can charge the car, and the car could charge the house. It's going to be very cool (and very expensive, lol).

    Tonight! The girls have gymnastics, so I'm taking them there, Whatsisface is meeting me, then I'm going on to the gym. Dinner will be Harris Teeter, so that will be good, I can make a healthy dinner there easily.

    @lisakatz2 I'm pretty sure you've said in the past that you monitor your weight average as well. The more I disregarded my daily weigh ins and looked just at my average, the better I felt about my progress. The average is going to move slower, but I don't feel as out of control about it as I used to.

    @nebslp I love that you're changing your goal based on what you need to focus on, that's good personal feedback.
    Success really does depend on consistent behaviors over a long period of time. WoW! I'm finally figuring that out !?!?!?
    :lol::lol::lol: I'm right there with you :lol:

    I think that's everything! I've got so much going on, haha, I have barely started getting ready for my bestie coming for cookie weekend on Saturday and it's already Thursday! Have a good day, everyone!

    Today I made another step toward my goal of being able to walk around Greenlake and more importantly improving my stamina. I walked just under a mile and then back with no rests and I did it in close to half the time I did on Tuesday. Tuesday I walked just over a mile and rested for an hour then walked back. I think I was faster because I forgot my walking sticks. However my Fitbit says I have walked over 3 miles today. So I feel I am ready to try Greenlake (just under 3 miles) with a rest along the way if N (youngest) or A (husband) will go with me.

    I seem to be maintaining my weight but not losing any now. I am eating more calories than when I lose so I will have to work on that but as I have said I need to up my ability to exercise and be more active more than I need to lose weight as long as I don’t gain.

    @jenbroussard71 I am glad Riley has such a caring home.

    @CupcakeCrusoe glad to hear your muscle is doing better. Yay you ordered your car. We have one of our cars in the shop. It is the one we bought to replace the one that someone totalled when he neglected to clear a left turn. Whoever owned it before us didn’t take as good of care of it than we did our totalled car. It is younger with less miles than ours had and we are already having to do work on it. However we do have another newer better car. We have 3 drivers in the family.

    @lisakatz2 glad you are making good progress. Energy is good. That is what I am working on having more energy and stamina.

    @nebslp I am working on NEAT too. That is activity that isn’t exercise related. It is really important

    1. posture exercises :)
    2. sweep the deck :)
    3. 6 hr 20 min of sleep :(
    4. Photo organization :)
    5. Create ? The night isn't over yet but have other things to do yet (college basketball game)
    6. Hourly activity 10/12 hours (250+ steps every hour)

    The deck was icy this morning so I had to wait until the sun warmed it up a little. That has become my favorite part of the day. I sweep and then I sit and watch the birds and soak up the sunshine for awhile. I'm not sure I'll like the shovel quite as well!

    Got my little walk in to the blind. I knew it was at the bottom of a steep hill because I could only make it back up half way before sucking air, so I did some calculations. Turns out it has an 8% incline. I wondered what that actually meant and this is what google told me: "An 8% incline is considered an extreme hill and is good for building strength and mobility. However, you should avoid running fast or hard on very steep inclines". OK, I promise I won't run fast or hard up the hill LOL :D I've been having to stop half way up to breathe. My goal is to get to the top without stopping someday.

    @CupcakeCrusoe Yay! for a new vehicle! And you don't have to wait too long either:)

    @KeriA It's amazing how fast our bodies respond to us when we do what they want us to. It feels good in so many ways. I don't use my walking sticks when I walk on the road because it's flat and I don't feel like I need them for balance like when I walk in the fields and hills. Then I don't go without them.

    Time to watch some basketball now on ESPN+ now. Hope you all have a good night and happy Friday!

    Good morning everyone!

    Still weighing in the 176's, which means my average is officially in the 177's! Wheeeee!

    yesterday:
    ✅3rd / 4 workouts per week
    ✅> 8k steps
    ✅<= 1600 cal
    ✅32 minute self care
    ✅> 64oz water
    ✅>= 128g protein

    Finally, return of the all green checkmarks!

    I'll be honest, communists in the funhouse has made me want chocolate way more than usual, but I'm working it! I'm dealing with it!

    I need to figure out a game plan for tomorrow, when my bestie and I will be baking cookies and drinking wine all day, lol. I'm thinking my secret weapon (shrimp) will be involved.

    Tonight! I've got chair acrobatics class, I'm going to eat a couple of slices of Costco's amazing cauliflower supreme pizza with my high protein hack: greek yogurt with spices in it to dip. I was never a pizza and ranch person, but to up the protein level of my pizza these days, I am becoming one. And it's not so bad!

    Tag party:
    @KeriA exercise is so important, I think you have that priority right. If not eating as much makes you less likely to exercise right now, I know that's a high priority for you.

    @nebslp I love hearing about your walks, that hill sounds wicked hard, haha!

    Happy Friday everyone, have a great day!

    SW: 220ish
    Re-SW (Feb 2022): 200.4
    UGW: 150
    2024 goal weight: 172
    SW 2024: 182.7

    🍁 November Goals!🍁
    🍂 November GW Average: 176

    🤎November SW 11/1: 180.0 (average)
    🤎11/2: 180.0 average
    🤎 11/9: 178.5 average (-1.5 !)
    🤎 11/16: 177.7 average (-.8 !)

    yesterday:
    ✅4th / 4 workouts per week
    ✅> 8k steps
    ❌<= 1600 cal (there was wine at gym, lmao)
    ✅32 minute self care
    ✅> 64oz water
    ✅>= 128g protein

    Still following the plan. Not as impressive a week this week, but I did have over 2000 calories yesterday and a crap night's sleep last night, lol. And the communists are in the funhouse. Alright, excuses over.

    I did well yesterday, got home, made my planned pizza, was still super hungry, so decided to go over calories for one more piece. That was not so bad. Then I went to the gym and everyone was like, "wine? wine." I get stretchier and can do things more easily when plied with a little alcohol, so I decided to partake. So many calories in wine, lol. But chair acro was good, I managed to do a side sit front split by the end of class.

    Like this, but the top hand isn't holding the chair back, it's holding that top leg and pulling it in front of the face:
    cbwq0z1qzclp.png

    When I got home, I decided to finish the advent calendars before going to sleep, so I wouldn't have to rush to get them done this morning before my bestie comes, which was a good decision, but also means I was up until 10 and then the combo of the cat and N got me up at 4:30. Booo.

    Today! Eye appointment for new glasses! Costco with my bestie! Cookies with my bestie! Christmas movies! More wine! A shark coochie board (I'm just going to have shrimp and rotisserie chicken, to conserve calories for wine and a cookie, lol)!

    It's going to be great. I am so sore from the gym, lol.

    Have a great day, everyone!

    Good morning everyone!

    Weighed in in the 175's today, so pulling that average down further still!

    Which is good, because I logged inaccurately yesterday, but still logged what I could remember. Logging from a shark coochie board is so hard, haha. Not to mention all the little bits and bobs when making cookies!

    yesterday:
    ❌1st / 4 workouts per week
    ✅> 8k steps
    ❌<= 1600 cal (estimated)
    ✅32 minute self care
    ✅> 64oz water
    ✅>= 128g protein

    Yesterday with my bestie was great, we went to Costco, made cookies and watched Hallmark movies (A Biltmore Christmas, Window Wonderland, Mistletoe Murders) and made cookies (snowballs, rum balls, gingerbread, speculaas, peanut clusters, pumpkin latte cake). We stayed up way too late talking and watching sappy Christmas movies (but really, definitely watch Window Wonderland, I love that one, I watch it every year).

    This morning I made saltine toffee before she got up and we watched my all-time favorite movie for Christmas, Borrowed Hearts, and I made us omlettes my normal way, and we decorated the gingerbread with the girls.

    Great weekend. She's gone now, so time for me to lock back in, unfortunately, haha. But my new car should come sometime this week, and that's super exciting. Then next week... is Thanksgiving, I can't believe this, time is going so fast.

    Have a great Sunday, everyone!

    I officially "retired" my 1X cotton jersey shirts and am pulling the XLs out of the recesses of the closet!
    The 1Xs are going to the thrift store. Many of the XLs are dusty from disuse but fit fine. I'm not looking back!

    Good morning everyone!

    Weighed in just under my average, and the average didn't move, so back on the horse today, logging accurately. Didn't log as accurately as usual yesterday, either, as I didn't feel like cooking, just kind of snacked all day.

    yesterday:
    ❌1st / 4 workouts per week
    ✅> 8k steps
    ❌<= 1600 cal (estimated)
    ✅32 minute self care
    ✅> 64oz water
    ✅>= 128g protein

    Today! Just work and home, walk at lunch, and I should do some kind of stretching/splits work at home today, since I'm probably going to be spending it watching Christmas movies on Hallmark+ while we have the free trial. That would be exercise and relaxation, works for me.

    I cleaned up my little den in the front room of my house yesterday, feels much better, and I'll keep decluttering until it's doable to keep it that way with only a few minutes' cleanup.

    @lisakatz2 CONGRATULATIONS that's huge! Well done!

    Have a great day, everyone!

    Step goal - 5/7 days (goal is between 8K to 10K)
    Total Steps - 56,983
    Average Steps - 8,140 per day

    I am okay with my number on the scale this morning since we had company everyday this past weekend and that always involves food. I am trying very hard not to sabotage myself right now with all of the stress going on especially the medical stuff. My MCL in my right knee is angry and the doctor suspects a meniscus tear. I was hoping for a steroid shot in my knee for relief, but he said that would not provide relief for the MCL, so I have to take them by mouth. When they inject the knee, the meds stay within the capsule and there are fewer side effects from the medication. Side effects for me are - a really red face and chest, lack of sleep and weight gain. Positive effects are - reduced inflammation and less pain, crazy amounts of energy and a super clean house. Steroids always make me want to spring clean which is a good thing right before the holidays.

    My next scan with my trainer is Wednesday or Thursday. I don't expect to see as major of a change as last month, but I am curious to see my progress. I realized this past weekend that I can wear a size large t-shirt and not be self conscious. That is a major NSV for me.

    This afternoon I am getting some self-care - a 90-minute massage! It's a deep tissue massage and not a super relaxation one. Sometimes it's a little painful when she works on my calves, but I know my legs need it after all of that walking in Disney.

    @CupcakeCrusoe - you are so consistent it is very inspiring! And those chair work outs - WOW!

    @lisakatz2 - Congratulations on your progress! Way to go!

    I hope you all have a great week!

    My progress has gotten a bit thrown off this month but I'm going to make the most of the coming days!

    It's been cold and rainy here constantly, which makes my usual trails dangerous to hike on the slick leaves. I haven't been able to get out much because of that and I've been struggling to find motivation to exercise indoors. If anyone has some tips I'm all ears!

    I also got hit by a nasty bug and was sick for a week straight but thankfully it wasn't covid. I'm just now feeling better and trying to get out and about again.

    I'll be travelling with my husband to Florida to have Thanksgiving with my mom and I'm looking forward to getting outside in the nice weather! We're planning to drive a small Uhaul truck back with a few pieces of furniture that belonged to my grandparents so we'll have a bit of an adventure at the start of Dec. 😁

    I'm not even going to start with my goals because things have been so out of whack lately. It's been raining all day <3 and I was able to get out and sweep before the light drizzle turned into hours of rainfall. I keep forgetting my posture exercises in the morning but usually remember to get them in later. Some habits are harder to establish. I've been setting my phone alarm to remind me that I have to move NOW in case I have been sitting too long. I might be reading or sewing or working on the computer or get a text or email to answer and totally forget to move. Saturday I spent 1 1/2 hours driving to my cousin's funeral, 1 1/2 hours sitting in church, 1/2 hour driving to a nursing home, 45 minutes visiting a friend, 1 1/2 hours driving to my granddaughter's school play, 2 hours sitting in the theater. Then another 1 1/2 hours driving home. And I think I still had 6 active hours in spite of all that sitting.

    I'm trying to get a few things done before Thanksgiving. Cleaned the pantry and we did a test-turkey today that was the absolute best tasting turkey I've ever had in my life! My husband brined it yesterday and today my son put it in his smoker. The BEST!!!

    I won't get my walk in today but am planning a weights workout this afternoon. Now I said it, I have to do it, right?! Yesterday I went to a state park nearby and found a really great trail. It's only 12 miles from here so I will plan to go more often. I used to go there when I was a little girl with my family so it holds good memories.

    @CupcakeCrusoe What a fun couple of days you had with your friend! It's so much fun to make new memories with old friends. Shark coochie board LOL!

    @lisakatz2 Oh what a feeling!!! Getting down to a smaller size and feeling comfortable is awesome! Good for you for moving out the old clothes and looking forward.

    @jenbroussard71 I hope your knee starts feeling better soon and that your massage is awesome today!

    @mmatcha_latte It's probably a good idea to stay off the slippery leaves until they dry a little. It's been raining here all day and we've had an inch. Expecting another 1/2 inch tonight. I love rain and it's pounding on my roof right now!! But it does limit what you can do outside. Maybe put on some dance music and break out some dance moves!

    Good morning everyone!

    Well, it's happened, I weighed in .1 lb over my average. Thus far I've been able to weigh in at or under my average, it was probably all this poorly logged food this past weekend. Yesterday, I also snacked, and logged, and went over. Not maintenance, but over my target.

    yesterday:
    ❌1st / 4 workouts per week
    ✅> 8k steps
    ❌<= 1600 cal
    ✅32 minute self care
    ✅> 64oz water
    ✅>= 128g protein

    We get back up. 172 by NYE is still within my grasp. My projected progress is that on 12/19, I'll be 172.8. Granted, it would be hard to lose .8 lb at Christmastime, but it's 12 days and it could be done. So we're going to keep going.

    I'm cancelling the gym tonight because I go to get my new car today! So excited. I have no idea how long it will take, and I'd like to drive home in the daylight hours, hence no gym today. I'll just have to do something tonight. And clean, the cleaners are coming tomorrow.

    @jenbroussard71 I've heard amazing things about those deep tissue massages. Best of luck with all your challenges. The super-clean house is indeed a bit of a nice side effect this time of year, haha.

    @mmatcha_latte Honestly I'm so bad at exercising at home, but the one thing I can do reliably is put on a movie and make sure I get my steps in while I'm watching, just walking around the room, haha.

    @nebslp I love brining turkeys! My favorite way of doing them. And a smoker must take it to the next level! My father in law is deep frying a turkey this year, I love his deep fried turkey and I can't wait. I'm sorry to hear about your cousin, that's a long day. Having a state park nearby sounds like a dream!

    Have a great day, everyone!

    I do check-ins when I lose:

    8/1: 254.8
    10/1: 249.2 I lost .4 lbs since yesterday.
    10/29: 248
    11/4/2024 252 Halloween weight gain
    11/5 249.8 Halloween weight lost
    11/7 249.2
    11/19 248.5

    Friday night I started seeing floaters and flashes in my eye and went to urgent care. Yesterday I saw the eye doctor. She says to take it easy this week and if it doesn’t get worse it should be okay. It is something that happens with age after 50. I know others that this happened to in their 40s. so I got a few decades without this. She said I could go to my son’s for Thanksgiving. The risk is if something happens I will be outside my insurance area. Oh well. She says I can go for walks but I don’t feel like I can do the kinds of walking I was doing last week where I am upping my distance. Also if I can’t concentrate on exercise now as planned I guess I will concentrate on losing weight since I got myself to within a few tenths of a pound of my lowest weight this year, today. Tonight a bomb cyclone is headed to us. We could lose our electricity. Usually our City Light gets things back going again within an hour. We were planning to go out tonight.

    Revised goals for this week:
    • Get 8 hours of sleep
    • Walk 30 minutes 6 days a week
    • Drink plenty of waler
    • Eat nutritious food.
    • Lose 2 more pounds this month

    @nebslp I want a deck to sweep. Ours is the roof of our carport and so we put artificial turf over it. It does need blowing. I guess I could have my husband show me how to use the blower. It is good for us to get outside in the morning. The standard is that no road should be more than 0% grade so 8% is steep. My bad knee prevents me from going down any but gentle slopes although I can go up them but 8% would be hard for me.

    @CupcakeCrusoe Nice seeing those green checks. Glad you are on target too. All this progress while enjoying time with your Bestie.

    @kristinwoods919 My husband knows he better tell me if he moves the scale! I weigh daily.

    @lisakatz2 such a great NSV

    @jenbroussard71 Hope your knee feels better soon. I like you NSV.

    @mmatcha_latte I really identify with your post. Up until now I was continuing to walk in the cold, rain and over the wet leaves but then I was mostly waking on sidewalks or park paths. Now though I need to take a step back with the walking. Instead of the nasty bug I am having eye issues to slow me down. We are going to Texas for Thanksgiving but will be flying there.

    Hopefully I will be logging again with some progress losing before we leave.

    11/20 248.2

    1. posture exercises :)
    2. sweep the deck :) BRRR!
    3. 5 hr 34 min of sleep :(
    4. Photo organization :)
    5. Create -
    6. It's on the agenda for this afternoon:)
    7. Hourly activity ?/12 hours (not sure the end result will be today but only 4 hrs. so far:( Not for lack of trying. I just get so focused on what I'm doing (phone calls, French, news, emails) so I start out with 3 minutes to go in the hour, and then I get distracted and stop walking (this time I noticed the plants needed water so I stopped to do that) so I missed making the 250 steps by 20 steps or less! :s Oh well, my body knows it's a win even if my FitBit doesn't record it). But it's frustrating and it happens ALL the time!!! I'm going to set my alarm every hour so I look at the time and am able to finish up what I'm doing before jumping up for a powerwalk.

    @CupcakeCrusoe Even with the little uptick, you're doing great! And if you should for some unforseen reason miss your goal, it won't be because of lack of trying. Sometimes our bodies do what they're gonna do and don't ask for our opinion. And do you love your new car already? How long do you estimate it will take you to figure out all of the buttons :D Enjoy!

    @KeriA the floater/flashes thing is pretty scary. I had that experience about 5 years ago, maybe more. It took awhile before the flashes went away at night, and now I have some leftover floaters that just are more annoying than anything. Sometimes I think I'm seeing flying bugs but, nope, just a floater gone wild. So far, so good for me. Hope all goes well for you.
    I haven't heard anything about the bomb cyclone today. I hope that didn't affect your area.
    You're SO close to being back down to your October low. You'll get there! Slow and steady...

    @KeriA I saw on the news tonight that the bomb cyclone had reached land. I hope you're all right. It sounds awful with lots more rain on the way.

    Good morning everyone!

    I have been weighing below my average for a couple days, which is great, average is going down again.

    And I'm officially, on this official halfway point of the countdown to NYE, 6 lbs down, 5.2 lbs to go. 40 days til New Years!

    I'm not doing so hot on the same things over again:
    ❌1st / 4 workouts per week
    ✅> 8k steps
    ❌<= 1600 cal
    ✅32 minute self care
    ✅> 64oz water
    ✅>= 128g protein

    My new car is incredible, the nicest car I've ever had. I'm so happy I got it. I've been watching youtube videos about the infotainment system, @nebslp :lol:

    Tags!
    @KeriA sorry to hear about the flashers! That's got to be disconcerting. I too hope that the bomb cyclone didn't hurt y'all too much.

    @nebslp I get the same way about my Fitbit notifications, :lol: If you want to be buddies let me know! My user ID (which I think you can search as username to add friends?) is 78B5F5 if anyone wants to add me on Fitbit!

    Have a great day, everyone!

    I weighed myself this morning (didn't have time for my usual Wen. weekly morning AM weigh-in yesterday). I'm down to 181! On track to weigh in at 175 at New Year's Day. I'm gonna make it!

    Good morning everyone!

    Weighed in in the 176s, pulling the average down.
    ❌1st / 4 workouts per week
    ✅> 8k steps
    ❌<= 1600 cal (1602 yesterday!)
    ✅32 minute self care
    ✅> 64oz water
    ❌>= 128g protein (122!)

    Yesterday was stressful between some volunteer work I'm doing and carting kids, and coordinating for thanksgiving. Always this time of year I try to balance enjoying all the things going on, and look forward to a little quiet period in the beginning of next year.

    Tonight! Going straight home after work and picking up kids and pizza. I don't have any more cauliflower pizza, :disappointed: but I'll get some more this weekend. Gotta make up the meal plan for next week. Then I'm going to the gym, finally this week, for line dance. I love that.

    @lisakatz2 you're doing so well, you can do it!

    Have a great day, everyone!

    My weight loss has slowed a little bit, I'm still on track if I crack down hard. And if I don't... I'll get close. I'm having a hard time cracking down very hard, but as long as I'm still losing, we're still doing well.

    Right now my projected for Christmas Eve Eve is 172.9. And if I lose .8 this coming week, I'll almost hit my GW average for November. So if I crack down a little harder this week, I'll make my GW average. I'm also getting an IUD in this week, that might affect things. Not to mention thanksgiving! So we'll see.

    Time for me to make the plan for the week, so much family coming in and so much uncertainty about where I'll be and when means I have to be on my guard all the time, and stash some protein bars or something in my bag, haha.

    Have a great day, everyone!

    The month of December is so tough. I have several celebrations and potlucks (all work-related) on my schedule. I plan on baking cookies, but you better believe that they are not going to hang around the house. I am a sucker for home-baked cookies.

    For Thanksgiving I'm going to make an apple pie, probably the best pie I make. So much work and a mess afterwards, but hubs peels the apples and helps me clean which helps a lot. Three people already have dibs on slices. Pie is a little easier for me to resist, but not by much!

    Hubs wants me to take him to IHOP this morning. I notice that they have calorie counts on their menu, which is nice. Plan on ordering from the Sides menu (two scrambled eggs and two slices of turkey bacon). Everything else is mucho calories!
