whats the best time of day to do this..morning?.. before bed?

  • I prefer mornings, but the main thing is just to weigh at about the same time every day. So choose what's comfortable to you...a time you feel sure you will be able to consistently weigh in at the same time and under same or similar conditions.

    You always weigh the least first thing in the morning. I weigh myself each day before I step in the shower. It is a routine that I have and if I don't weight myself... I feel guilty. It gives me the knowledge of how I did the previous day and week and starts the day off right!
  • I agree with morning before breakfast. I did a test once. I weighed on the Wii just before I went to bed and then the next morning. My question was, how much of a difference can it make since I spent the whole time sleeping and therefore burning the least calories. Well, on that day at least, it made a 1.5 pound difference! Also, since the Wii is so accurate compared to most bathroom scales, I'm learning how important it is to have the same clothes on. Some of my pajamas are heavier than others and can make as much as a pound or more difference even though they're all summer weight. So I've designated one night gown as my weigh-in one. I wear it the night before I know I'm going to step on the scale.

    I weigh the same day/same time each week....first thing in the morning before breakfast...an no clothes (want a true measurement without guessing how much the clothing weighs:ohwell: )

    First thing in the morning, with nothing on outside of you and nothing INSIDE of you...

    i do it in the morning, after a cup a coffee, which helps with relieving myself, before breakfast.
