That's a great idea! Too bad MRIs aren't cheap; that would be awesome.

    That is so cool!

I had MRI scans of both legs below the knee recently, but this is way better.

You see all those black spots in the intestines..... that accumulated... POOP........... :::vomit:::

So, if you don't poop frequently, that is what your intestines look like.... feces everywhere....

It is more likely air, as you see the same darkening in the bladder, the stomach, and the lungs. Spent six years working radiology, so thought I'd point out that it likely isn't poop. Sorry to disappoint...

ETA: Cool find, McKay. Makes me want to carve myself free of all that fat. I guess that is what all the exercise and calorie monitoring is doing, eh?

I am a medical transcriptionist and I cannot tell you how many times I'm typing a report and the doctor will state that the image quality is degraded because of "body habitus," meaning they can't see what's in there clearly because of excess fat. MRIs, CTs, and regular x-rays all are of lesser diagnostic quality when you are overweight, making it harder for the doctors to correctly diagnose medical issues.

Now thats a worry - thats not so bad (in my opinion) - the weight .... not the picture that is!

:noway: Wow. Just wow. And suddenly I realize yet another reason I decided I definitely need to start taking better care of myself. I started out at 250 only I'm 5'3. That image will haunt my nightmares tonight...
