I’m so sorry for what yall are going through right now. It’s difficult times.

Maybe start with small changes first, instead of trying to revamp your entire life during such a stressful time?

Or conversely, for me, having something new to immerse myself in can equally be a “mind off” technique.

You let us know which route you want to go and how we can help.

I don’t know about the UK, but we found a class here offered to the public by a diabetes group that did a deep dive into diabetes, and how to make changes. It was an hour or two every week for about five weeks. I attended because my husband and dad were both newly diagnosed diabetics. The most eye opening thing to me was when they handed around glass test tubes marked “Oreo”, “Coke”, Fruit loops cereal. Each tube was filled with as many grams of sugar as one serving of the product had. It was startling to see how much sugar was in those vials.

We got a lot of good info there. Sadly it would be twenty more years before I took it to heart for myself. Don’t be me?

Hugs to you. You’ll find a lot of support here on the boards. Many have been through what you’re going through and can offer support, advice, and an ear
