A couple of ideas

I've used the app for over 6 years now and I love it, but there are a few suggestions I would make:
  • I go to restaurants and it would be really handy to be able to mark a meal with the name of the restaurant., and the same for a saved meal. Nothing fancy needed, just a field for the Restaurant name while entering the meal. I do put the restaurant name in a saved meal name, but once I enter it into a meal on a day, the name is gone.
  • I will find a meal that's pretty close to what I'm eating, but there might be a difference that I can't find, like no roll on a burger. It would be really useful to be able to enter a negative number of servings, so I could enter the meal I find, and then add a hamburger bun as a negative 1 serving. I now will enter 0.8 meal to try to estimate the reduced calories, fats, carbs, etc., but being able to deduct the roll would be easier and more accurate.
Thanks for listening

Hi there! Thanks for the suggestions :)

While there is not a specific area designated only for Restaurants within the main database. However, we should have many items from various restaurants already contributed in the database. Simply type in the name of the restaurant you are looking for as if you were searching for a food item. Any items from that restaurant should then pull up automatically.

If you can not find the exact item in our database, for a rough estimate you may want to try using a similar item already in our database. If you do know the nutritional information for the item, you can also add it to the database. For information on how to do this, please see: https://myfitnesspal.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360032271992-How-do-I-log-a-food-that-is-not-in-the-database

That being said - I've passed along your feedback to the appropriate teams to think more about!
