do you use? I have a cheap-o no name one I picked up at Walgreens on sale sometime last year, and I just don't feel that it's very accurate. I'm wanting to get a nice one, but since those type are kind of expensive, I was hoping to get opinions on what people like before putting down the money! Thanks!

Health-o-meter, $49, digital. Records weight, BMI, Body fat, and hydration levels. Love mine, I've had it probably 8 years or so. Never any issues with it being off. Also you can input settings for more than one person. They are must less expensive now than when I bought mine.

I have a Soehnle....It was expensive but...so accurate it will even register the difference in my morning pee!!! I love it!. On the other hand , as long as you are weighing yourself on the same scale at the same time of day , you are getting an accurate account of your weight loss.

Tanita. Saw it on the Dr. Phil show haha. Can handle up to 4 people and a guest. Very accurate, too.

I have a Weight Watchers Brand one, it has the ounces along with pounds.
  • I prefer the cheap-o scales (no batteries and non-digital). There's a difference between "accuracy" and "numbers that you want to see." I am also not a fan of micro weight differntiating. Who cares if you go up or down .0004 lbs in a day? I don't. I just want to see downward trends over time. I like the cheap-o scales because they're relatively accurate, often more consistent than digital scales, they're cheaper, and they don't lend the opportunity to stress about micro fluctuations. BTW, that stress about weight GAIN (THE G WORD!!!! PANIC!) could be worse for you than the increased tiny bit of more detail and / or accuracy offered by a digital scale. JUST MHO.
