Thinking What is Keto?

I hit a learning curve this week. Sometime this year someone mentioned almond flour - only two carbs per tablespoon. A microwave blueberry muffin made with almond flour is about 400 calories. I realized this week that keto muffin is holding me back.
A have been eating Brown & Serve sausages - only 60 calories and loaded with protein - NOT. That sausage is a lot of calories, loaded with fat (which is going directly to my stomach) - and only has 2 grams of protein.
So this morning starts a new learning process: Higher protein and less fat, and still keep my total carbs low.
I'll update you all in a couple of months.

I'm keto and have made exactly those type of muffins many times which are around 200 calories each, couldn't imagine what a 400 calories muffin looks like or what's in it. Also 3 oz of typical breakfast sausage has 15 g's of protein and yes hopefully a decent amount of fat as well. I'm really not sure what your trying to say. When you say loaded with fat and believing that is somehow directly responsible for excess stomach fat tells me that you might need to bone up on keto and.....2

Well, if you thought that low carb would magically make you lose weight, yes it's very good to keep in mind that fat is the most calorie dense macro!
So it's your choice whether you continue keto but are more attentive to your calorie intake (which will determine your weight loss) or whether you change your strategy away from keto 🙂1 -
The old fat is bad marketing scam myth is still circulating to this day.
Humans need a certain amount of fat to survive. If a human ate Rabbitt meat only we would die from malnutrition because they contain little to no fat.
Read up on Keto and you will see that Fat isn't the enemy its actually necessary.1 -
The only reason your food would be going to fat is that you are eating too much. Fat doesn't turn into fat just because you happen to eat it. It, like other macros will be used to meet your bodies needs. Once those are met, it along with the protein and carbs, will be stored. If there is not excess, your body will pull on your reserves, fat and muscle, to make up the difference. Thinking fat makes you fat is missing the point that eating too much makes you fat whether that is carbs, fats, or proteins. I eat high protein, high fat, extremely low carbs because it works to satisfy me so I don't overeat. That may not be idea for you.1
