How do I add a recipe to a recipe?

I haven't tried lately, but historically it has not been something you could do. A work around would be to create a food entry for the sauce based on the nutrition info from the recipe you created for it, and then use that food as an ingredient in the new recipe.1

There's an annoying way, but it does work-
enter your sauce in the database as a food (not a recipe) as if it were a storebought item.
You can then add that to another recipe

Just go into the recipe you created and edit the recipe. You can add or subtract to the recipe you created. Very easy.0

@royekd I would personally just log a serving of each recipe to my meal diary. You can’t add your sauce recipe to a new recipe in the recipe builder unless you add each item of your sauce recipe individually as an ingredient into the new recipe. But I think logging a serving of each is probably easier.0
