Give me some advice please

Hi, my name is Mona. I start my fitness pal March 2023 and I lost 13 pounds. I was so happy until mid November I had Caribbean cruise vacation and I gained 7 pounds and I’m struggling to lose those extra pounds again, what should I do?

    What did you do March 2023?
    How long have you been home? Could it possibly be partly due to water weight? Different foods, travel, etc. Could affect water weight for several days.

    Don’t panic. You know you have all the tools to get back on track, right?

    What rate did you lose at last year, and how long did that take? You did it before and you can do it again. I think you just need to get back into the right mindset: maybe look back at your logged entries from last year and pick your favourite recipe days?

    Some of this could still be water weight, so let’s assume for the moment that you’ve gained 5 pounds. If you set MFP to lose at half a pound a week, that’s just 10 weeks to get back on track. You could do it slower if you wish… there’s absolutely no rush if you’re in this for the long game.

    Keep us posted on your progress - we’re all here rooting for you!

    When you say you're struggling, what is the struggle:

    * Eating the same calories that worked before, but not losing?
    * Unable to stick with the calorie goal, so eating far enough past it often enough that you're not losing weight?
    * Feeling so fatigued if you stick to your calorie goal that you're dragging through the day plus resting/sleeping more so you aren't burning as many calories?
    * Something else?

    There are some good general suggestions above, but we could give you more specific advice if we knew a little more about what the problem(s) may be.

    I'd like to help, and hope you find a solution!

    Go back into a calorie deficit to lose 1 to 2 lbs per week.

    You will be back to normal in no time.
