Wouldn't it be easier to sample counting..say..20 pages and then assume if it is true on those it'll be true for the entire thread?:D

If I were to try that counting method, can you imagine which finger I'd likely hold up? 😎

Am I correct in thinking it wouldn't be your pinkie, but would be one of those somewhere in the middle? 😄

Yes, that would be the sensible thing to do, but like all scientific theories, can't we only assume it to be true because it hasn't been proven false? But in this case, don't I think it would be a safe bet?

Should the 30th post for every thread be "please go to page ..." for all the new people?

Good idea, but don't you mean "[Won't you] please go to page ___?" (for this thread at least)? 😉

Isn't it too late for this one? 🥲

If that feature is no more, how come a few people still get to use it? Why allow existing signatures to continue but not allow new ones? Shouldn't all existing signatures disappear if it is truly "no more?"

Can you figure out how to do that please? Do you think that , they would show up retroactively? Can you imagine what our page count would be if that were the case?

Wouldn't the page count remain the same? Aren't there 30 posts per page despite the length/brevity of posts?

Has it always been that way??

Before the great MFP database blip, were not threads actually 25 posts per page?

Did you already know this or did you look it up?

Also, can anyone relate to this?

Did you not read the announcement by the MFP Staff when they made the change to try to make it easier for people to locate the last page of actual posts rather than the empty pages after? Are you as confused as I am how this was supposed to make any actual change in that scenario?

Isn’t it as long as you want it to be?

Are we talking the astrophysical string theory? Or more mundane Earth-bound strings?

Why did I tie this string around my finger? Shouldn’t I just put reminders in my phone like a normal person?

How does tying a string around your finger ensure you’ll remember the reason you did it in the first place?

Perhaps if one end of the string is tied to your finger, and the other end is tied to whatever it is you're supposed to remember?

    Like your car keys? 😂
(Wouldn't that have helped my sister two nights ago, when she locked herself out of her car?)

Did you know my car won't allow you to lock the keys inside? Isn't it amazing that the electronic key fob, if left inside the car, will not allow the external door lock button to work, and instead will cause the car to honk its horn at you?

Funnily enough, didn't my sister say that three times the car honked when she got out, and twice she looked (unsuccessfully) to see why? Didn't the car eventually decide "okay, you win" and locked anyway? In her defense, hadn't her son used her keys to fetch the car for her, leaving the keys on the center console, and didn't she cover the keys with something as she got in to drive to my house?

Is that the reason I miss my old truck that I never had to lock (since no one would ever want to steal it)???

What about anything INSIDE the truck, like radio or lunchbox or fuzzy dice?

and is it harder to imagine anything less likely to be on thief's wanted lists than an old pair of fluffy dice?

Doesn't that seem a little cheesy, though maybe less silly, than having a pet rock?

On the other hand, didn't I have a (Piet Hein) super egg?
