High fat or low fat?

I have a huge problem with having to eat low fat proteins and low fat milks for a food plan. No matter what you say ; ,if you change over from binge eating on fastfood all the time, example I would eat a whole pepperoni pizza at a time that had over 300 grams of fat plus a whole family order of brownies with hundred of fat grams in it to 4 or 5 ounces of baked pork, that pork is a hundred percent better then the pizza on fat. So your already getting quite a bit less fat.
Also the fat you get from a prime rib or pork chop will be way healthier then the cheeseburgers I got from Mcdonald's which had the trans fats, the dangerous kinds in it, not to mention the processed chemicals they put in fast food that are poison. When I go home I will eat a combination of low fat proteins and high fat but as I said even the high fats will be better then fastfood.

Personally I eat mid-fat meats and avoid most 'low fat' products because they generally taste bad and use artificial sweeteners, which I hate.
The idea that you need to go low fat to lose weight comes from the 'fat makes you fat' mindset of years gone by, and the fact that fat is 9 calories a gram so cutting it down is an easy way to reduce calories. Personally, I love fat for flavour and satiety, and make room for it in my calorie allowance, with great weight loss success.3 -
Eat what you enjoy. Just log it and eat the right amount of calories. If you find that eating higher fat doesn't keep you full and the amount of food looks too small then consider some fat reduction options. Other than that there's no reason to limit fats.0

Thankyou for the comments. The thing of it is if you limit the calories and or portions, both the carbs and fat comes down. So it's going to be low-fat and low carb.0

Yes, but you can also chose to go for a moderate weightloss goal, which gives you a lot more calories to eat, and hence more carbs and fats overall. You've not given us any more information, but if you've been given 1200 (female) or 1500 (male) calories then your weightloss goal per week might be too big.0

Yeah, whole foods are better for us than foods that have been ultra processed. As far as fat consumption is concerned, that is my energy source so I eat lots of it.0

On the flip side, I find I need to pay attention in order to get adequate fat. I don't revel in eating it, my favorite foods mostly don't have lots of it, it isn't particularly filling for me . . . but I know I need a certain minimum in order to get the necessary essential fatty acids. I'm not saying eating enough of it is brutal punishment, just that it's not automatic for me.
Protein is filling for me, and I made it a point when reducing calories to get enough of that for nutritional reasons as well. I eat a lot of carbs, because veggies and fruits are my jam, filling and delicious for me.
I got fat/obese over-eating generally, hardly eating fast food at all (don't enjoy it), and probably over-consuming savory/salty foods more than sweets.
It's almost as individuals differ in how they gained weight, and how it's best for them to lose it.
I think most people can figure it out, if they pay attention and stick with trying to improve.0
