Hi guys,
So i was a bit naughty this morning and had 420 calories worth of chocolate, i will still be under my calorie goal and am JUST under in fat, but feel so guilty! Do you think this will make me put on weight since i have been eating healthy for so long? I have exercised to try and burn off some of the damage lol... or am i just beating myself up over nothing ??

don't worry about it, i had a binge earlier this week on choc too, except mine was 700cals. and since you are still in a deficit you're not going to put on weight, any weight that shows up on the scale tomorrow will be water weight0 -
I'm sure you will be fine. You might even see a sudden drop on the scale. That's what a small...very small...binge like you did will do for me. Not that I ever make a habit of it, but we all slip once in a while. :-)0

You're beating yourself up over nothing. Remember - your new lifestyle has to be something you can maintain. Everyone needs a treat every so often. As long as a treat doesn't become a regular event, you'll be fine.0

nine Thornton's classic chocolate for me ! . . . .0

lol, 420 is nothing. my binges are 1000+0

I had chocolate for lunch today! That was my big cheat for the week.
Actually, small occasional binges like that can keep you on track better in the long run! And if you feel too terribly guilty, just put in a couple of miles or lift a few weights.0 -
Artic Zero -- chocolate chip, chocolate peanut butter, coffee or vanilla mapleice cream --- 150 calories for an entire pint!
Something I always have in the fridge in case of emergency --- but sometimes a candy bar is irresistible too!
Don't beat yourself up --- everyone has bad days and good days....enjoy the splurge0 -
Relax - if you were under your calories there is no worry about gaining....
Hope you got some good food in there too...0 -
Moderation is the key..no worries on the chocolate this morning.. I have chocolate every now and then..if we completely cut out our things that we crave...then all that does is make us a cranky person..lol, and we need to be happy every now and then... some people just can't have small servings that's alright too..as long as you know to get back at it the next day...and just keep going..once we believe we failed..is the time we end up failing..this is the time to reflect and say yes I did eat that..what is my plan of action now..I say we totally burn it off the next time we have a chance..
Birthdays, celebrations, holidays..things happen..surprise visits from friends and family...just gotta keep moving..that's all..0 -
If it makes you feel better, I ate a snikers today. I love chocolate. I don't think I'd ever be able to "give it up" for good nor do I plan on it0

HIgh Five! I love chocolate! I've been eating a king snize snicker or hershey bar everyday this week.0 -
If you can work it into your calories, have a little everyday. That's how I keep (usually) from going overboard on it. My husband keeps a stash of Hershey's Special Dark with Almonds for me... it's 95 calories for half a candy bar and it's rich enough that half usually does the trick. No regrets.0

You'll be fine! Weight doesn't come off right away, so you don't put it on right away. I had a couple of days last week where I ate 3,000 calories(I was using food to cope and I'm also recovering from Bulimia. I didn't purge) and I haven't put on anything. Just eat healthier tomorrow and try to treat yourself with something small when you want it, so you don't overeat after depriving yourself of it. I find the best thing for me is to eat what I like in moderation. It seems I always mess up whenever I make 'rules' for myself.0

I don't think your binge was nearly as bad as you think it was - honestly don't beat yourself up over it. Especially since you were able to work it into your calorie budget for the day, I'm sure you didn't really do any damage. Plus letting yourself have a little someone special every now and then will help keep you sane. :-)0
