Merry Christmas to Me

Yesterday I weighed the same as I did in Junior High. I am 66 and have lost much weight and am feeling great. My A1C is down. My BMI is lower. I am not focusing on the scale numbers, but appreciating the thin of it all. Thank you for letting me share. 😊

That's so wonderful: What a great gift you've given yourself!

On top of that, you're giving those around you an example that health improvement can be accomplished at any age. (Not an age diss: I'm 69 myself. It makes me sad when people around me - my age and even younger! - don't even try, thinking that they're "too old".)

I particularly love seeing people here make improvements in health markers, like your A1C dropping: So excellent!

The new year is upon us, so I will say "Happy New Year" & congratulations!! We share the same age & same health issue (high blood sugar) so your post gives me motivation to "do this"! I am certainly not a new member to MFP, however I have strayed away.... again.
Hoping to find friendship with those who are walking the same journey as I. Cheers!

I would like to "friend" you but I am totally unlearned in this forum. And help from some MFP members would be appreciated......

Woohoooo and wtg you, @iamomx2 ! And @AnnPT77 - your guns make me smile and impress me every time I see them ! ^-^

To @debra5235, welcome back and wtg you for starting again! May I suggest joining a challenge? Check out the Challenge Board, there are several great long-standing community challenges that build out like, these whole 'worlds', all free, and run by other MFP members who volunteer to head them up and staff them. There's a BLC (Biggest Loser) Challenge, a Seasonal 5% challenge, an Ultimate Accountability Challenge, all starting for the New Year. A Hogwarts Challenge that will start mid-Jan. A Fat 2 Fit Challenge. These all post notices on the Challenges board, and invite you to join their groups and be assigned to teams - those challenges all take place on other boards, but you can access them through the Challenge Board. I'm sure there are more, but those come to mind. Then, on the Challenges board itself, there are multiple other challenges going on - just jump into a thread and join in ^-^. If that's your thing, of course.

    Cheers to all.

Awesome work, & awesome feeling to have a better Christmas this year. You are inspiring so many people, not just on this forum. Everyone new you meet, will remember you this way, & not the way you were before loosing that weight. I am 63 & still keeping thin.
