I enjoy cottage cheese, but I don't know what to add to it to make it a more rounded meal. I enjoy it by itself, but there must be something I can add to it. Help!

I use it as a dressing/topping for any kind of salad - fruit or veggie, including cold roasted veggies. It can be pureed and used in ways that sour cream would be used, or ricotta. Sometimes I mix it with hot cooked veggies. (I like it warm fine, but don't usually like it if it has actually been heated in something, unless it's a baked thing like lasagna. Baked in layers with veggies instead of lasagna noodles is OK, especially if some eggs are mixed in with the cottage cheese so it sets up a bit rather than maybe getting runny.) I mostly eat it plain with maybe cherry tomatoes or something, alongside other side dishes, though.3

They once tried to give the kids at the headstart I work at cucumber and tomato's with cottage cheese. The kids revolted. There was no more cottage cheese with cucumbers and tomatos.3 -
Thank you!1

I'm vegetarian but not vegan, so I use it as a salad topping mixed with a couple tablespoons of dressing. Same concept but I use it as a dip for a veggie tray mixed with some ranch dip. Sometimes I also add it to scrambled eggs before cooking.0

I make tortilla wrap with eggs and top with lots of cottage cheese. So good and high protein!2

Mix 1/4 c cottage cheese with one egg, 1tsp baking powder and 1/2 cup oatmeal in blender. Makes a great pancake top with plain Greek yogurt and some berries0

I love it with cucumbers, onion, tomato and red wine vinegar, with chunky salt/pepper/garlic seasoning sprinkled on top. Like cucumber salad and cottage cheese hooked up. It's delicious.
Also, I blend it (or not) with dry ranch seasoning and eat it with veggies like cucumber, celery, cauliflower, peppers, etc
Made a killer lasagna (thin zucchini slices instead of pasta) with it recently, helps that my family has always made lasagna with cottage cheese.
I'll blend it with a good tomato sauce and eat it with warmed with egg white noodles and chicken and veggies.
I like it just by itself with various seasoning blends atop it/mixed it. Chili garlic, mesquite, etc2 -
I regularly have cottage cheese with bacon bits (homemade, chunky not crumbs) and grape tomatoes halved, sprinkle with salt & pepper. Yum, low cal, high protein and filling! If I have cucumber in, will add some of that too.
I will also mix some into scrambled eggs/omelettes while cooking.
I've added it to wraps but my wraps are usually too full!
Back in the day, I remember it was often topped with fruit, like pineapple or fruit cocktail, but I prefer savoury to sweet.2 -

It's really good with avocado. I like eggs, avocado, and cottage cheese for breakfast, maybe with some sauteed zucchini or other veg. I also sometimes have it on the side with an omelet -- this morning my brunch was a spinach, mushroom, and broccoli omelet with cottage cheese on the side.2

Egg whites and cottage cheese with spinach and cherry tomatoes. It was pretty tasty.0 -
Taco salad. I mixed salsa with cottage cheese for the dressing. Other components were spinach, leftover beef taco meat with black beans, avocado, sweet onion, cherry tomatoes and black pepper.

I also like it with red grapes or pistachios. Sometimes I use the flavored pistachios and high is very good, or the lain pistachios and sprinkle a little everything bagel seasoning on the cottage cheese with pistachios.
I also like topping it with diced apple and a drizzle of honey for a treat.0 -
I’m boring compared to all of you! I only eat a serving for breakfast with half a serving of peach slices.0

Cottage cheese is usually my go-to snack for a quick protein boost. I like to add grapes or blueberries to it. Sometimes, I’ll have a small bowl as a side with lunch or dinner, especially if the main dish, like pasta, is low in protein. I also enjoy cottage cheese paired with corn and slow-cooked beans on the same plate—it’s a simple but satisfying combination.0
