Garmin calorie estimates change

Has this happened to anyone else-

I will synch my Garmin app activities with MFP- everything seems fine. I add my food in and things are fine throughout the day and net calories will be around my goal. The next day when I go back to look at the previous day, it “removes” some of my Garmin exercise calories and then it looks like ate 50-100 more calories than it said I did when I completed my food diary. It’s hard to know which count is accurate

Anyone know why this happens or how to fix it?

It may be that you have set yourself as more active than you actually are. i.e. if you tell MFP that you are lightly active but only walked 3000 steps that day, it could take away some of the extra calories you were given at the start of the day. I'm not sure of the actual breakdown, but I seem to remember than even sedentary assumes up to 5000 steps per day. Active might be more like 10,000. Or you might be double counting if you log your exercise and also sync your watch.
