    Welcome back!

Speaking as someone who's been here for over 9 years, loss then maintenance, my advice for sticking with it is to make the easiest possible plan that gradually leads toward goals, and also finds/grooves-in the routine daily habits that will keep the person at goal long term.

That's a different mindset from the too-common treatment of weight loss as a project with an end date, after which things "go back to normal". A permanent solution requires a permanently workable plan.

I don't know about you, but I can't sustain "motivation", "discipline" or "willpower" for the entire rest of my life. I have to depend on repeatable, practical, happy (at minimum tolerable) routine daily habits that can operate almost on autopilot when other parts of life get demanding . . . which they will.

Many people seem to arrive here with a plan that involves some tricksy, trendy named diet that restricts them from eating their favorite or preferred foods, and many stack punitively intense, unpleasant daily exercise on top of that. That doesn't usually end well, as far as I can see.

So: Personalized, realistic, sustainable, practical, pretty easy, pretty enjoyable tactics. That's what I'd suggest for sticking with it.

Healthy eating? Any combination of foods a person enjoys, finds filling, practical, affordable and tasty, that also adds up to reasonable calories and decent overall nutrition on average over a few days. It doesn't have to be all "superfoods" and no calorie-dense nutrition-sparse treats. ;)

Just my opinions, though, as always.

    Best wishes for success!

I have used the app on n off for a good while. Consistency and accountability has been a challenge.
I have not participated in any of the Group Discussions before. Mainly just logged foods.
Hoping interaction with others on this better health journey will help me stay on track.
Best regards from the snow covered WV Hills.
