Try alot things but using the app everyday made the difference

In the early 90's I was a Weight Watchers succes story lost 125 lbs and became a instructor. Gain weight back, 2003 had a gatric bypass lost a 165lbs gain most of it back. Went to weight loss progarm at VA. The suggest get a app and count your calories everyday and you will be a success. Since i started I have loss 85 lbs and been able to keep it off. Some days you don't want to spend the time to log it. But in the long run it works.

Over the last 8 years, I've found that when I lay off daily tracking, the weight creeps back on. I'm happy with tracking and look at it as a challenge I want to win every day. Not a chore.

@curtmill53 Tracking/logging my foods helps me. I don't mind it all. Because I eat a lot of the same foods and when you log them once they'll be in your lists to use again. I always double-check the nutrition facts with the package or USDA Central to make sure the information is correct before I log it.

Usually, I sit down in the morning and plan my whole day. If I see that I'm off track, I will make some adjustments. And, of course, occasionally, I change my mind about a meal and just go back and correct it.

If you eat they same meal a lot, you can save it as a meal. That way it's easier to enter. For instance, I eat the same thing 90% of the time for breakfast...chia seed pudding, with finely diced walnuts, blueberries, a splash of half & half, a HB egg, and a glass of unsweetened vanilla almond milk. I have that saved as a meal. Easy, peasy! I also use a kitchen scale and weigh a lot of my foods.

I feel so much more accountable to myself when I track my food. I did something similarr to this 4 years ago and lost the amount of weight I wanted to - I got away from that and gained it all back. Tracking food again will help me get to my ideal weight.
