    Is this the debate thread?

Why does everything have to be a debate with you, @Hungrycatapillar2025 ? 😜

Wow, wasn't I surprised this morning reading what I missed yesterday, when I replied to @nossmf's post at the end of page 3460, missing a slew of posts already populating page 3461?
Wasn't I hoping my post would elicit at least a giggle or two?
Wasn't my intent lost, given that my post followed this post by @paperpudding's?
Don't we get a bit pedantic here?
Apart from me kilts, you mean?

So, aren't I now at the end of page 3461, unaware of what has already been posted on page 3462, trying to explain myself?

It was a simple question, correct?

Or, do you think he wants us to laugh at his kilt?

Since the old adage says, "You are what you wear," doesn't that amount to the same thing?

I thought, “don’t judge a book by its cover,” still meant something nowadays?

...or was it "dress for the job you want, not the job you have?"

Is that the same quote from BAMBI the movie where thumper quotes his dad? ☺️

What, was I wrong to assume it's common knowledge the kilts worn by Scots and Irish are plaid? While I have Irish and Scottish ancestors (as well as cousins who in fact own kilts), don't I prefer Hawaiian shirts and khakis?
Can you not imagine someone who doesn't wear plaid apart from their kilt(s)?

(How funny is a joke you have to explain?) 🫤

Like what is worn under the kilt?

Isn't the answer nothing, it's all in good working order?

Do Irish guys wear kilts, or is it only a Scottish tradition?

Wouldn’t it be neat to see a list of all the topics we cover here? Who would have thought kilts would be such a topic of discussion? 😄

How exactly do you translate a list into a question format?

Kilts arrr an Irish tradition as well, don't ya know?
Wouldn't this be a questionable start to a topic list?
    Have we talked about coffee?
    Have we talked about chocolate?
    Have we talked about kilts?
Have we talked about traveling to distant lands?
    Have we talked about exercise?
    Have we talked about diet?
Have we talked about ice cream?
Have we even "talked" at all, seeing as how this is an online forum?
    Have we mentioned...???

It's a silly notion in the first place, but how about this less verbose template?
    [ Who|What|When|Where ] is/are _____?
    examples:
    What are chocolate chip cookies?
    When is National Pizza Day?
Where is an idyllic vacation spot?

Could we add the page #s as well so that if someone brings up one of the topics we can reference it?

Are you suggesting I would have broken the rules of this thread to post that list here, @nossmf ?!

You mean, create an actual index?
Great idea, any volunteers, or can we have AI do it? 😂

Have you SEEN some of the obits/stories written by AI platforms? Wouldn't AI applied to this question only serve to further confuse us?

Does AI scare anyone else? Was I imagining it when at work I heard my voice say "my pleasure" instead of "no problem" in an old lady's speaker phone!?

I’m not sure if it scares me but don’t you agree that it’s encouraging society to be lazy, especially mentally?

At this point, does society need any more encouragement to be lazy, or does it just come naturally now?
