Hi all, I'm a mum of 5 and been battling with my weight for most of my life. This time its going for good dont want to be heart attack fodder any longer!! I would like to support other people trying like me to loose weight and live a healthier lifestyle, so I'm looking for weight loss buddies, anyone want to tackle it together:happy:

I am a mom of one very energetic 16 month old. He is absolutely everything to be and the thought of me not being the best health wise for him just is not a thought any more. I am on the road to a healthier and happier me! From past diet experience diets dont normally work to well for me ... not knowing what is best for me and portions ... I heard about a book from a friend at work and decided to give it a try. Its called, "The 17 Day Diet" By Dr. Mike Moreno. I bought it after looking it over at Walmart. I love how it is really a no excuse book. It is 4 cycles of 17 days. He gives you litterally everything you need to know. He brakes everything down so that it is understandable. He even gives you full 17 day meal plans...so you really dont have to do anything but, get the food. You dont have to use all of his meal plans they are just guide lines for you to check out and use if you like. I myself am a really picky eater so I tweaked a lot of it...In the first 17 days if you stick to the general idea of the diet you can lose between 10-15 pounds. I have tried this and am still on this diet. It definately works! In the first 17 days I did lose the full 15 pounds the book said I could potentially lose. Plus so I did not feel so tied down, on the weekends it feels like it is sometimes harder to stay on your diet. Well, I did lose the 15 pounds in the first 17 days but, the best part was is that I stuck to it monday to friday, and then on the weekend I kind of laid back a little ... stuck to it kind of but, at the same time treated myself a little too... just meant that come monday I got right back on it again and worked out a little extra. So this might be something you may want to check out! I love it and I swear by it! Otherwise Good Luck with the start to a New Healthier YOU! Most importantly make sure you are doing this for YOU, otherwise none of this will work! )0 -
