    I really needed to clean bathrooms today. What did I do? I worked and then baked bread.🤷🏻‍♀️

    I guess I’ll have to do it tomorrow. Work will probably be really slow tomorrow afternoon. Plus, MIL will be at dialysis, so I can clean her bathroom without her staring at me.🙄

    I really need to come up with a better routine for cleaning. My house isn’t messy or filthy. It’s just lived in. But, I have more stuff than I need or use, so I’m really wanting to do a full de-cluttering. I feel suffocated sometimes by all the stuff. I want my countertops in my kitchen to not be cluttered, but they are. I can’t get people to put stuff away. If my daughter can’t reach where something goes without a stepstool, she’ll leave it on the counter. If my son doesn’t know where something goes, it’s on the counter. If my husband thinks he’ll use it at any time in the next 6 months, it’s on the counter. And for some reason, my MIL has to leave her oatmeal, cream of wheat, tuna packets, and tea bags on the counter.

    Do any of you have a good cleaning routine?

    Hope everyone has a great day. Question, how many if any plan to imbibe on Super Bowl Sunday?

    I am going to a party at a friend’s house, and I know I’ll have at least one glass of wine. Two is my max, so I will try to micro-sip my way through the evening.

    I am deep into Eagles country, so even though I don’t really care (I’m from North Jersey, grew up as a Giants fan), almost everyone around me is really into it.

    Sorry I'm showing up so late to the party. Looks like just about everyone is off to a good start to their month, whether it's an AF/LA February 1st thing, or multiple days already this month - nice job. For those that feel their not quite meeting their goals, this is a great place to be for inspiration and support.
    @MissMay, as always, thank you so much for continuing these threads month after month, year after year. It is very, very much appreciated.
    Also, a big congratulations to you on 1/3 of a year! What a great milestone to be able to celebrate. Hugs to you!

    Welcome to all the newcomers, so happy to meet you and share this journey with you. @garnet20910 Lavender Chamomile tea, a big yes - I tried it just about a month ago and it's my new favorite herbal tea.

    My February started out a little shaky, first 4 days were A, but I now have 2 AF and am feeling pretty good about today (even if it is only 7:30am here, LOL).

    My Feb:
    AF=2
    A=4

    50% Dry
    Planned February Events that might include Alcohol
    2/7 ~ Anniversary

    All or none mentality.... reset to occur on Monday, 2/10, aka After Superbowl.
    We are going out to eat for our Anniversary today. It's at one of my favorite restaurants with wine that they don't bottle...it's only at the restaurant in a barrel. It's called the Barrel Reserve.

    Saturday - possible to be AF but not going to stress about it
    Sunday - Strategic choices :)

    I am going shopping in a bit and will pick up some 0.0 Stella. I will give it a try on Saturday. @chicbuc @Michieb125

    @NonnieDoiron If my husband thinks he’ll use it at any time in the next 6 months, it’s on the counter. . This made me laugh! This month, I started refusing to go to bed until the kitchen is clean and dishwasher loaded. When I cook, my husband is supposed to clean up the kitchen. I've got about a 50% success rate with him. I try to tidy up each day and then have one day a month for thorough cleaning. Loving my new smaller house for this reason. I can do top to bottom in about 4 hours.

    @Womona ~ great tips! I love the donation tip.

    @Womona Your post about your cleaning schedule was a hit with me and my husband. I read it to my husband and he immediately started decluttering 😀 You made so many good points. Like getting the things you want to donate out of the house. Hubby had a bag of clothes to donate in the office. He's already put it in the car! Thank you for the very good advice and motivation!

    @tobinross I wouldn't have even considered going totally AF on a beach vacation 🏖️

    My original goal was to go 90 days AF. It was going to be kind of an experiment. I wanted to give my body a break from alcohol and see how I felt after the 90 days. And I wanted to see if I would lose a lot of weight like I had in the past.

    But I'm not sure if I'll be able to do it. I went 118 days AF before. But I had some medical issues at the time. So, basically, I was afraid to drink.

    If I could moderate and only drink a couple of times a week, and try not to drink two days in a row, it would help. But, as far as my experiment is concerned, I would never know the answer to the question, "How much weight will I lose if I'm AF for 90 days and mindful of my eating?

    I want to do well. But I'm not very motivated right now 😕

    Happy happy anniversary @itladyee ! I hope you have a wonderful anniversary celebration!

    @SurferGirl1982 so glad I can inspire you guys to get stuff out of your house! Makes my heart happy!

    1.5 glasses of wine tonight. Yeah yeah, I know I didn’t need the extra half glass. But, I am within my calorie goals, so that’s good.

    @Womona Yes, we really liked your post. Your schedule and tips are very doable. My husband asked me to print it out. I did and put it in a page protector so when can review it from time to time. I think you might be in the wrong business...you definitely have a knack for cleaning and organizing *LOL*

    My husband actually dropped off his bag and a box that I had packed to St Vinnies earlier today and dropped off the recycling. We don't have curbside recycling, but we have a recycling depot nearby. It's soooo cool that you've motivated him. It's unbelievable! I think you've created a monster (a good one) 😀

    @itladyee Happy Anniversary!

    Have a good night everyone!

    Yes, @Womona, great tips! I'm hoping to put them into practice next week. My house isn't filthy either, but it needs a good cleaning which I'm planning to do on Sunday...at least the big stuff, bathrooms, vacuum, mop, dust, etc. I need to implement a deep clean schedule, too. My cabinets (kitchen and bathroom) desperately need to be cleaned out, CLEANED, and rearranged...stuff like that.

    Anyway, @itladyee, I really hope you like the Stella. I think you will. Even my son said it was good and he's in the process of trying new beers and turning into a beer snob. And happy late anniversary! Hope it was a nice celebration :love:

    @SurferGirl1982 I hope you find your motivation again :hugs:

    @NonnieDoiron Your energy puts me to shame :lol: Enjoy your weekend and get some relaxation in!

    Had a chill night in last night. I cooked a couple steak and sauteed some fresh garlic with spinach and drank my grapfruit La Croix.

    I'm finally to the point that my morning workout routine has become an important start to my day, and that feels good. I've lost about 1 1/2 inches off my waist and off my hips over the course of the last month (those are the only 2 measurements I take and only when I I'm working out regularly). It's not solely due to LA, but LA helps me feel doing the work instead of feeling lethargic.

    I'm not planning any wine days until Tuesday. SO's birthday is Monday, but we're celebrating Tuesday. We're going to have dinner and see Aaron Lewis and the Stateliners...at the casino, of course, but it is a work night, so it won't be late. I may try AF. Who knows?

    Have a great weekend all!!

    (8 AF days out of the last 10 days!)

    @globalhiker Stellar words as always! My motivation is that I want to be a better human for my Lord and Savior, Jesus, and that means, for me, not poisoning my body or being in a drunken state...not for everyone...it's what I'M convicted of in my spirit. I have a bible app I've been using with some daily readings for addiction and alcohol that help.

    @tobinross I forgot to mention that you had a stellar streak and having a beer on the beach is worth breaking it for especially with this beautiful weather we're having! Doesn't exactly go along with my previous statement, but I digress :lol:
