I’ve added jean size as a goal. It’s kind of fun to think of it that way. On the weekend I’m going to buy some sizes so I can see progress. The place down the street from me is having a clearance sale.

Had a feeling yucky for no reason day yesterday but stuck with the eating plan. Found it surprisingly hard to down the water, but did my best. My exercise goal this week is 10K steps a minimum of 5 days and missed both Tues and Weds so I gotta get after it today. Made yogurt and sauerkraut in the am, so satisfying to have that done! I just feel better if I eat fermented foods so I make time to make my own.
@jennigerding19 - no hacking up a lung! Hope it goes well.
@MercyRoth - I like the pant size idea!

Yesterday, I was on-track for a decent loss, but I skipped my planned, sensible dinner for Happy Hour. After 3 pints of IPA, and chips & salsa, I'm very lucky to break even. It helped having a later-than-usual weigh-in, today.5 -

Well. I’ve been waiting to get into the 150’s for years! Finally saw that number! 😄
I recently found out I am not 5’ 1” but am actually only 5’ 0”. I thought I needed to get to 158 till I was just overweight according to bmi. Turns out I need to get to 153. I know it’s just the bmi and I should take it with a grain of salt so oh well. Doesn’t really make a difference to me. I still have the same goal of 140 which would still put me in the overweight category but I think it’s still a good weight to strive for. My doctor thinks 140 is a good goal too. When I get there I can always re evaluate.
Kudos for hitting the 150's! Onward and downward!!4 -

Probably was the sausage I had for dinner, even though its homemade, its got some salt in it and pork doesn't love me. I generally don't eat it much anymore but last night was a throw together dinner because I was out of ideas and didn't plan ahead. Sauteed cabbage, carrots and pork links..

In the office today, have to steer clear of whatever sugar laden 'light refreshments' are being provided for Wear Red for Heart Health Day lol. I already know tomorrow will be a no logging day. Going to a Chocolate and Wine festival with our son & daughter in law and her parents. Will have protein for breakie, salad for lunch and more protein for dinner.6 -

I had a great day yesterday, super busy and just awkward stuff going on but I drank the water, wrote down all the food, and made sure I got my steps in. I’ve already blown up the steps two days this week so gotta hit it today and tomorrow. I guess that’s the beauty of goals.
Question for all - am I supposed to weigh and report daily? I don’t mind but I usually document my weight twice a week so I don’t get super obsessive about the 10ths… super obsessive being my middle name…4 -

Hi everybody! Thought it was time to get myself on here and hold myself accountable. I’ve been sitting around the same weight for about 5 years (aside from pregnancy) and have recently started really gaining weight. I wasn’t weighing myself but I could feel it in my clothes. I stepped on the scale for the first time in months and I’m the heaviest I’ve ever been. I’m 5’0 tall and this morning 166 lbs. I’ve been feeling the effects of it in my daily activities (feet hurting all the time, troubling bending down to reach things, etc). I’m not happy at all and it’s time for me to fix it! So here’s my first daily accountability post for February!

That scale blipped 159.9 for a miilisecond but then bounced back up to 167 and then settled at 166.0, so not sure I trust it. Its almost like it was toying with me today! We will see what tomorrow brings..We have a love hate relationship.

Wowza! Still whooshing I guess? I started hormonal treatment mid November and the doctor said my body would hang onto extra water for three months. They were right!
@felixisalady welcome to the group and you can log your weight here as often as you like. No rules, just support. For me I like the daily weigh in because it sets the intention for the day and logging it here gives me a dose of support and accountability. But each person can do their own schedule.

Weighed in today @ 225.4 so 4.6 down for the week. I knew I was retaining water from salt and travel but still glad to see it mostly gone. Otherwise, unable to hit my step goal because my knee blew up like a balloon and said “knock it off” so I’ll bike today to make the difference and call the ortho about the knee, something I’ve been delaying because of travel… wishing everyone a great weekend and quality planning for the Super Bowl if that’s your jam. I’m going to make homemade vegetarian pizza and some stuffed jalapeños and a veggie nosh plate so that’ll all work from a salt (I’m one of the approximately 25% of American’s who are salt-sensitive) and calorie stand point.3 -

February goal: 140.6 (Trying for 5lb/month)
Today is a day off (at least until someone calls in “sick” and I have to go in and cover) and lots to do. I have to make a progress video for my harp classes by Monday and really want a few more hours’ practice before I do so.
And LOTS of decluttering since I’ve hardly cleaned the house, I’ve been so busy/exhausted. But my disabled husband can only do so much and my 18 year old is oblivious, neither of them seem to know where stuff goes ! 🙄
I lost Leo this morning and finally heard his breathing which led me to find him hidden in the bamboo grove in the middle of a breathing episode. Now he’s on my bed waiting for his morning meds to work.
I have to spend some time in the kitchen prepping protein for the week. Then kick back in the lounger on the lanai and enjoy a book!
