Back to become a Baddie!

Just kidding, I’m already a baddie (haha jk) But I’m back! It’s been a long 6 months. My
husband and I went on a cruise at the end of July and the day after we got back he had a seizure and they found a large mass on his brain. It’s a large (cancerous) tumor on his left frontal lobe. He then he a brain bleed after his biopsy surgery and had to be airlifted back to the hospital that was 3 hours away from our house in Melbourne FL. He had to relearn how to talk after the brain bleed and it was a rough few months. He then went through 30 rounds of brain radiation and is now on chemo for the next year…. So I’ve spent the past 6 months taking care of him and focusing on him and being the loving wife I am, I also resigned from teaching to be there for him 24/7…. But now that he is doing better. I am going to start working on me again (but not go back to teaching, I found a remote job so I can still be there for him). I’ve been in a horrible depression, because the doctors said brain cancer isn’t curable, the treatment is to prolong his life. However, I know God can do anything and I know miracles still happen. It just doesn’t make the fears go away because he’s my best friend and love of my life. But I decided I need to also take care of me so I can be my happiest and best version of myself for him. ❤️

I am so sorry you and your husband have had so much trauma in the past 6 months! You are truly a baddie in my book! It is not easy to survive through those times and you have to rely on God to get through them. Good for you on taking the time to focus on your own health again...he needs you and you need the strength as well. Best wishes in both of your journey's and welcome back! I have noticed your posts on this site before. If you need an extra friend for support, feel free to reach out. 🩷🙏1

Thank you so much! That’s so kind of you. It’s definitely been the hardest 6 months of my life. My life definitely changed in every single aspect so it’s been an adjustment for sure! But yes we are relying on God and our strong love for eachother!

Sorry about your husband, he sounds strong to have made it through this ordeal; you both do. May he continue to beat this thing 🙏
Welcome back!

So sorry to hear about your husband‘s condition. Prayers for you both as you all go through this. I’m glad that you were able to get in a situation where you can take better care of yourself through it all and still be there for him. I’m glad that that remote job was available for you. 🙏0
