Both answers are correct. Also acceptable for Queen; A Day at the Races, another Marx Brother's movie.

    You're up.

I think I may have run across that fun fact before, but had forgotten.

I must have heard The Carpenters version before but never remembered it. I heard it yesterday. It started the same as the Manilow version but then there were many different lines and verses. A bit different.

Shooting Star. Both really good songs!
Also, Bad Company has a song called Shooting Star. Also great!
In the late '70s/early '80s, there was a band called Shooting Star. I bought their debut album. There must have been a song getting airplay at the time that I really liked. What song it was has escaped me.

Oops! I knew that. Mixed it up in my head and then never straightened it out. My bad!

When I was in seventh grade our music class had one day a month we could bring in records to listen to. John Bowden brought it Fox On The Run. Strange how things stick in your head from 50 years ago.

I'll start with a little more obscure clue and can give another if needed.

John Mellencamp + Black Cat = [song]

Took me a bit but I think I got it.

    Cherry Bomb?

If that's it, I had to think outside the box for that one. Good clue.
