Edit a scanned food to create custom food

I often can't leverage the barcode scanner feature because the calories are not accurate based on the method my nutritionist recommends (fatx9, carbx4, proteinx4). This makes a key Premium feature basically useless for me unfortunately, and my custom foods list is long and hard to use.

I'd love to be able to scan and then edit to create a custom food more easily. And ideally scan again in the future and see an option to use my custom entry. If already possible, I'd love to know!

I'm a little confused, the usual complaint about the barcode scanner is that the information it brings up doesn't match the label. Are you intending to amend the entries to something other than what the label of the product says?

If you want to be able to select a choice from things you scan, why not just use the search bar if you’re going to have to scroll through and verify choices anyway?

That said, I don’t think there’s any way to tie a barcode to more than one entry. It doesn’t make sense to.
