    Thank you,

    @mtaratoot

    !
I'm Chris - 74 year old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion...
...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.
My husband and I are retired.
I see my trainer for 60 mins three days a week and try to walk the other four days. The walking doesn't always work out since we have our Grandson every morning. He's 2 years old and a pistol!!

    Hello Everyone

I recently retired from teaching and gained a pile of weight, mostly due to inactivity. As a result, my blood sugars rose alarmingly. Retirement should be about working towards the best version of me possible so I decided to put more effort into self care.…and here I am! Last year at this time I was at my highest weight ever…169lbs. I have been working since then to adapt a healthier lifestyle (off and on).

    March Start Weight: 150lbs

I'm starting a few days late, but better late than never. I'm right on the line between overweight and healthy BMI at the moment and it is making me crazy. I just want to get back into the 150s (I'm 5'8) by the end of the month.

I should have known it was water weight holding things up! That said, I'm not changing my goal. Hopefully by the end of the month I'll stop seeing the 160s no matter where I am in my cycle or how much salt I had the previous day. (I weigh every day because I like graphs. Nerd alert.)

Well. This isn’t the progress I was looking for. Too much junk food, working too many hours, not enough activity. Definitely a good pulse check to get back on track.

Ultimate Goal Weight: 145-155 (I’ll know it when I get there!)

    Start Weight (from February 28 ): 197.8

Goal Weight: (4 lb loss) 193.8

End of Challenge Final Weight: xxxxx

    Weight lost/gained this month: xxxxx

    03/01 – 196.4 (Trend Weight – 196.4)

03/03 – 195.4 (Trend Weight – 196.5) Day 2 of no heat in my house. In Northern Michigan that’s dangerous! When power went out Friday night and came back on Saturday morning I didn’t realize it had done something to my furnace. Auto ignition of pilot just won’t work. It comes on but then goes right back off and nothing but very cold air blowing out of ducts. I had to shut it off at the fuse box and turn the gas off to make sure it would not build up gas so it would quit trying to run and warm it up in here. My thermostat has no β€œoff” and the house is colder than the lowest selection so it just kept running. Because I was at the funeral service and dinner until after dark last night, I didn’t realize my house wasn’t getting any heat. Last night was night two of freezing to death. These little ceramic space heaters are only spot heaters so they are not warming up a room, but at least I can stand within 2 feet of them and feel some relief for myself and the cat. They are very tiny but I have 2 of them. Not much help in a 3200+ sq foot house! Of course it’s Sunday and I’m in a very rural area where nothing would ever be open on Sunday’s except the churches. No big box stores here anyway! So I’ve got my 30 year old nephew coming over who’s pretty handy. He has changed out thermo couplers and such in the past. He works as a handyman in the area, but mostly ships off to Oregon to work. Thankfully he’s home right now and will come look at it this morning. I hope he can fix it. He thinks that when the power came back on it may have pushed through some sediment that has to be cleaned. We will not be able to get any parts until tomorrow if we need something new. Fingers crossed for me please. Thank you all for the kind words about my friend Diane. She was beautiful yesterday.

03/10 – 196.6 (Trend Weight – 196.0) And in the twinkling of an eye, her dreams were shattered. I must make today a good day.

    03/17 – xxxxx (Trend Weight – xxxxx)

    03/24 – xxxxx (Trend Weight – xxxxx)

    03/31 – xxxxx (Trend Weight – xxxxx)

Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

Some weight gain was expected this week. I went over my Calorie goal twice this week and missed my steps once this week. I've been pretty unwell and the kids have been too, so I've been reaching for comfort foods. Just have to get back to eating better.
