Hi,
I am a busy working mom of 4 (3 of them teenagers) - need I say more - and you can bet that life can be pretty stressful at times. I have gained and lost weight so many times, I have lost count. I really have to get it under control now as I am not getting any younger. I am starting to fear for my health and to worry that if I continue to be overweight, I could run into some very serious health problems. I work in healthcare, so there is no shortage of sad cases to see. I have a goal to try and look and feel better by my daughter's graduation this year. If I could achieve the weight I was when I got married (125-130), I would be so pleased as I am sure my hubby of 21 years would be too.
It seems that like a lot of moms, I tend to put myself last, eat when I am stressed and not take the time that is needed to focus on planning meals, counting calories and exercising. But I am trying to change that now and I am happy to say, I have lost 4 pounds this week - even though it was my birthday this week with cake and dinner out.
I heard about MyFitnessPal on a podcast and I am glad it makes tracking calories so easy. Looking forward to using this site and the forums to help me along the way.
Cheers and have a great day!!
