Hybrid workouts

I recently went to a Crossfit in my area and was intrigued by the concept of shorter, more intense workouts that build muscle and burn fat. (Instead of spending hours at gym, doing cardio).
I don't really have the luxury of shelling out 140/mo, so my question is this:
Does anyone have suggestions on where to find a list or series of these type of exercises I can do at home? (..besides Jillian Michaels DVD's)

Crossfit is all about WoDs, which stands for Workout of the Day. Each gym usually does their own take on this theme, but you can find a WoD on this site every day to inspire you at home: http://www.crossfit.com/
I wouldn't recommend doing ANY Olympic weight lifting without supervision for proper form if you're a newbie to weightlifting since it's really easy to hurt your back or something else. But you should be ok doing things like jump rope or burpees, etc. The site also links to videos that show the workouts and proper form or you can always google it.
Everyone who does Crossfit loves themselves some burpees for example. A quick search on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7MGljX4bbps and now you know how to do them.
The Crossfit site also contains a long list of Crossfit style exercises with videos:

I think Crossfit is similar to Bootcamp or PX90 so you may find videos for that.0 -
If you have an iPhone, you can sometimes find short intense workout apps for that as well. For example, I've really enjoyed:

It has videos for each exercise and starts you out slowly and works its way up in intensity. You can tell it what equipment you have on hand: jump rope, dumbbells, nothing, etc. and it will tailor the exercises to that. The workout is no more than 20 minutes.
I haven't used this one, but there's one for Crossfit too that uses the common WoDs (almost all of them are named after women , they're evil that way:
