Hey everyone,

I have been yo-yo dieting before but I learned alot during my journeys and I want to share it with all people who are struggling to change.

Istarted my journey with OMAD and quickly dropped 15kg. I knew this was not sustainable lifestyle and as soon as I stop Omad lifestyle i will regain my old weight or even more.

I decided that its time to make my journey life long lasting and not temporary.

I started counting my calories and I started going to the gym 5 days a week for 40 minutes workouts.

During this time I tried to push myself extremely hard and sometimes I was doing more than 40 sets per workout and quickly realized that I cannot maintain this forever as I am a father and go to physically exhausting job.

I learned rhat I need to take my steps slow and steady.

Currently I dropped my weight to 72kg and few months back I decided its enough with loosing weight and I should focus on the hard part maintain the weight.

I learned alot and did reverse dieting to my maintance calories and for 3 months now i maintain my weight.

Also I stopped tracking my calories then and learned the most important skill to trust my gut when i had enough food and not over consuming.

I learned that there is no evil and good foods. I learned that eating out and enjoying variety of foods is not bad.

Also I have chocolate, kebab and whatever i want without the need to track my calories or macros

I have 4 meals per day and on every meal I have protein, vegetables and carbs. At night almost every time I have dessert which I home made for example oats with protein powder and chocolate chips on top.

Pls enjoy food, enjoy the process, trust the process and most importantly dont push yourself too much because you might get yourself eating disorder or quit because of exhausting routine.

Now I help my wife and she already lost 10kg without tracking calories or macros and without going to the gym ( she doesnt enjoy it, but enjoy walking).

What is OMAD? I go to the gym three or four times a week and workout hard, but have just added walking a mile or two for a couple days a week. I am just now starting to count calories again. I lost 18 pounds doing this three years ago, but gradually have regained most of it. Thank you for sharing your story. It's encouraging to read success stories.

I looked up OMAD. It's a diet (intermittent fasting diet, actually) where you only eat One Meal A Day. Sounds rough. I'd go homicidal on that lol.

I tired OMAD and fasting. It doesn't work for me long term. But I think it helps if you work it in sporadically. My biggest problem is staying motivated after three months.
