HI
I am not new to wanting to lose weight, but I am new to this site. I've tried Sparks for a few years, but never suck with it. I hope this site has what I need to finally lose the 25 pounds I've been wanting to loose for about 5 years now.

I've been married for 13 years, and we have 2 children ages 10 and 7. I try to keep busy, but I just don't eat as good as I should. I keep telling myself weighing 165 isn't a big deal there are lots of mom's who are much bigger, but really I want to weigh about 140 so I can feel better and look better. I hold most of my extra weight in my stomach which isn't good.

My biggest fear is that if I don't lose the weight now while I am in my 30's then I will pack on more weight later in life I won't ever get it off!!!!

Welcome! great support system here! Like you I also gave Spark a try.. I prefer MFP because of the people and it is not saturated with ads, misinformation, wheels, and other distractions. If you need a friend add me :)
  • control your sugar intake and stress. a lot of our belly weight is from eating too much sugar. stress also leads to added cushion around the belly. use yoga for that one. good luck!!! this site will help you know what your sugar range should be and to stay under it. give up the pop, candy, chips, and sugar drinks. things like water and real green tea are best. do not eat fruits after 2 PM. your body has a harder time breaking the sugars down. eat veggies from 2 PM until bed time. good luck!
  • and weighing 165 is not bad at all! with the weight you are at you should be drinking at least 82.5 ounces of water per day.
