Happy National Garden Month, at least in the Estados Unidos.

@enlightenme3 is still traveling, so I'm posting this month's challenge again.

πŸ˜€ Welcome all new first timers to this challenge and "Hello again" to those returning for another month, another year, another round. πŸ˜€

I joined MFP in February 2018. I had been trying on and off to lose some extra weight. MFP gave me the tools I needed to lose 30 pounds, and I have tried to keep it off since then. I've mostly been successful, but there for sure have been times when I slid back. Only continued vigilance will work to be successful, and fortunately that's possible! It can be nice to have short- and medium-term goal to break down a larger goal into more manageable chunks. So a monthly challenge with a weekly check-in is GREAT. I've been contributing to this challenge for several years, and with @enlightenme3 temporarily away, I'll try to keep it running.

Pick your own goal, check in once per week, and at the very end of the month. Let's keep encouraging each other & staying focused on our individual goals.

You can change the dates to suit you, but try to keep it weekly as it shows off the weekly progress betterπŸ˜€. I'm setting this month up for Saturday check-in. Do what works best for YOU.

Pick whatever unit suits you -- pounds, kilograms, stones, or even Newtons.

For those unsure how to do your weekly weight input:
When you want to do your weekly update do a search for your original post, copy and paste as a new post in the add post box then you can edit in your new weekly weight. A lot of people also maintain their post in a notes application on their device and just cut and paste into a new post.

    Thank you @mtaratoot for the April thread. I've been here consistently since the 31st of Dec when I decided I needed to put my health first. Ive lost 13.8kg/30.5lb so far this year just through diet and exercise.

    Goals for this month: 4kg/8.8lb loss|Walk 80km|Increase Fibre.

    Daily Goals: 2L Water|Burn 400kCal|Stay in Calorie Deficit

    Could be interesting with Easter this month but I think we've got this!

    Hi there, I am 5'6'' and at my all time heaviest. I am getting really worried about the amount of weight I am putting on and notice that my energy levels have diminished. It is my 59th Birthday on the 5th May so have decided to kick start my return to health and fitness today and at least feel a bit better about myself come my birthday.

    I want to return to exercise. I started a couch to 5K 3 years ago and managed to get my fitness levels up to run 10k (slowly). Then moved and haven't run a step in 18months. That changes today too! At the moment I can't run the length of myself. By my birthday I want to be able to run 5K without stopping (I don't care if it is very slow). I also want to start yoga classes again (another thing I have stopped since the move)

    My April Goals

    • lose 2lb a week
    • run (walk/jog) 2-3x weekly
    • 1 x yoga class weekly
    • 1 x outdoor swim weekly

    I'm Chris - 75 year old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion...
    ...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.
    My husband and I are retired.
    I see my trainer for 60 mins three days a week and try to walk the other four days. The walking doesn't always work out since we have our Grandson every morning. He's 2 years old and a pistol!!

    Back again!

    My heaviest weight in recent years is 161 lbs, although the heaviest weight I have ever been is 184 lbs, which was around 16/17 years ago. So, I'm more or less on maintenance but I could still do with losing some excess fat. My weight fluctuates between 143lbs and 150lbs, and I am still 'sturdy' at the lower end of that scale. I am 5'6".

    I started Feb at 152lbs and March at 147.6lbs. I am still 147.6lbs. Trying to be patient and consistent. I have upped my daily steps goal from 10k steps per day to 12k steps per day.

    End of April target: 144 lbs

    Ultimate target: 140

    Good morning. I’m not new to myfitnesspal, but need multinational as I am getting older and my health is rapidly decreasing.     04/01 -- DNW (Trend Weight – DNW)

    🐰 🐰 🐰 🐰 🐰 04/07 – 193.2 (Trend Weight – 194.9) We have experienced the storm of the century in Northern Michigan. I was 17 days with no heat and 5 days with no power. I finally had to break down and go to a hotel quite far from my area as it hit our whole multi-county region. It’s been horrible and expensive. All restaurant food for multiple meals per day. Bad snacks in hotel. I am very surprised that my weight has not gone way up and is actually down from the start. I think it’s just my nerves. The cleanup to our community will be horrendous. Many will be without power for over a month! Power surge blew out several things in my house including double wall ovens worth over 4000.00 I’m not sure how we will get through this. It’s just me and my autistic son and I’m a widow with no help and many health problems. Now that I’m home I will try to focus on my meals more. Doing what I can in the yard will help burn some calories too. We will see how this all pans out. Prayers please for my family and my community.

    While I'm glad I didn't gain this week, I'm also somewhat surprised I didn't lose. I've been unwell this week so have barely been able to take in 6000kJ/1430kcal out of my 7200kJ/1720kcal allocated per day. In saying that I also haven't been able to exercise at all other than my usual 6000+ steps from daily life.
