Hogwarts Weight Loss Challenge (Term 54): 8 weeks, April 4th - June 1st

Hello, everyone! We'd like to invite you to he Hogwarts Weight Loss Challenge!
If you want some additional motivation to stay on track and have some fun while working towards your goals, come join us!
We are going to start out 54th term on April 4th. It will be an 8-week term themed around the 4th book in the series, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. The term will run from Friday, April 4th (with full activities beginning on the following Monday) through Sunday, June 1st.
The list inside the spoiler tags will give you an an idea of the type of challenges you would see each week in our general categories, to give you an idea of the commitment involved. Completing these challenges earns points for your house as we compete (in a friendly way!) to earn the House Cup each term.
MANDATORY Challenges:
Quidditch (Exercise task, running the entire week):
Complete 30 minutes of flex, 30 minutes of strength, and 30 minutes of cardio throughout the week.
Potions (Food task, running the entire week):
Eat the rainbow of fruit and vegetables this week.
Defense against the Dark Arts (running the entire week):
this category may contain some trivia questions about Harry Potter, or some questions for reflection
Weigh-in: runs Friday through Sunday
OPTIONAL Challenges:
Room of Requirement (typically running Wednesday through Thursday):
Complete a 15-minute workout.
Hogsmeade (typically running Saturday through Sunday):
Take 30 minutes to relax this weekend and let us know what you did.
Arithmancy (running the entire week):
Stay under your calorie limit for as many days as you manage
Alchemy (running the entire week):
Meet your water goal for as many days as you can manage
Certain weeks will also have:
Optional Quidditch matches (where you count minutes of exercise multiplied by effort to earn points)
Optional special events, such as a relay race events (one team member completes an activity and then the next person completes the next activity and so on, usually runs 2-3 days) or list events (sign up for tasks and complete them in any order within about a week).
Owls with the acceptance and friend requests should go out on Monday, March 31st through Tuesday, April 1st (and should be received by the end of Tuesday, April 1st).
*** While everyone who applies to join Hogwarts will be sorted into a house, if you do not respond to the prefect who contacted you within a reasonable time frame, then we will assume you no longer wish to participate in the challenge and remove you from the roster so that late applicants can be sorted.
Therefore, we ask those who received an owl on March 31st or April 1st to please join the castle and common room groups by 11:59 pm ET on Friday, April 4th. ***

I am brand new, just down loaded the app today so not real sure how to use it yet. I love Harry Potter so I think this group sounds great!! Can you explain how it works, do you give us exercises to do or do we just give our starting weight and find out own exercises to do and weigh in each week?? Like I said very new at this and ready to do what I gotta do to loose this weight I have put on.

Hi and welcome!
Each week there are some mandatory "Classroom" tasks (Hogwarts is a school after all): Quidditch, Potions and Defense Against the Dark Arts.
Quidditch are exercise related tasks. Usually there are 2 or 3 options to choose from, ant their type varies. E.g. it may be a specific workout video, or a certain amount of cardio minutes (and you choose what you want to do), or even a workout inspired by something (then it is completely open, you just have to explain why this your workout fits).
Potions are food-related tasks, also with some options, and also varying (e.g. have x servings of fruits/veggies per day for 3 days, meet a macro gola for 3 days, prepare a meal inspired by something, pre-plan 3 meals and stick to your plan, and so on).
Defense Against the Dark Arts is usually something related to Harry Potter (like some trivia questions) or something wellness-orientated, like reflecting and answering some questions.
Besides these and the mandatory weigh-in, there are also several optional tasks, but until you are used to the general challenge set-up, you can just ignore them at the beginning, so that you don't feel overwhelmed.

@mikeyrowlands , There's a new Hogwarts Term starting on Monday, if you're interested. Or, if you want to wait until Summer Term to check it out, that one is only 5 weeks long, usually :).
