i'm on maintenance and love my food and cooking. i like to try new foods and ideas but find i am getting into eating similar/same dishes for breakfast and lunch each day...

i'm not on low carb or anything so have all options open to me (except that lunch i need to be able to take to college)

i'm not necessarily looking for new food ideas (although if you have them... ;p) but how do you stop yourself from getting into this routine/stuck in a rut situation?

  • I have a subscription to Cooking Light Magazine, so I'm always getting new recipe ideas. If you can't afford the subscription, go to their website and sign up for some of their email recipe ideas.

I follow them on Facebook, too. That and the FB page for Shape magazine often have good quick meal suggestions.

Why not sit down and look at a list of all the things you can cook or make for your meals? If there aren't a lot, go look around the internet (skinnytaste.com is a good place) and find some new recipes. Then make sure to rotate them.
  • I get on eatingwell.com almost everyday to look for new ideas.
