Hi! I’m starting here. My name is Stephanie. I live in the IE. I was looking for a personal trainer , but at $125 per session, I had to find another option. So, here I am. I’m going to try to log every calorie this week. I’m on day two. Today I’m 75cals over my goal. I’m planning on sticking to it and each week looking at my progress. Any favorite workouts or suggestions for me?

    I had to look up the IE. Never heard of it before. Learn something new every day.

    That seems awfully stiff. My daughter works out at a large gym in Oceanside, and their trainers don’t run anywhere near that.

    I’d check other gyms and trainers. And have the gumption to walk away from a trainer who’s not doing it for you, or ask to be switched to another trainer. I didn’t my first couple trainers and after having a couple of outstanding trainers after those first two, I can personally tell you that a great trainer makes a world of difference.

    You don’t indicate your age If you’re “of a certain age”, check in to Silver Sneakers.

    Also, check local hospitals Our local Level 1 trauma center has a gym for rehab and employees and opened it up to local residents. Hardly anyone knows about it here. It’s a phenomenal facility, offers classes from geriatric to rehab to challenging cardio and weights, and all the trainers have some type of sports medicine degree. A quick google search shows you may have a similar option in your area.


    If a trainer is your goal, don’t give up keep your ear to the ground.
