Dida 20-40-60 workout today. The plan for tomorrow is to do a Lose 10Pounds Now DVD and then a Perfect Pilates DVD
Lisa– one time our cat brought in a rabbit. The poor rabbit was scared s**tless, went behind the buffet and died. For the longest time I smelled this horrible smell. I tried everything to mask it, boiled cinnamon, lit candles – all to no avail. When we were moving, we moved the buffet and found the rabbit.
Mo - the BK isn’t in a Hispanic area. I don’t know why they are now “punishing” me for going to FL since they didn’t do it for the years before. If that were the case, I would think they would have “punished” me years ago. I know that the store mgr has a soft spot in her heart for people who are in a bad situation. That’s probably why she kept Jerry on for 20 years. She put her job in jeopardy when he came to work drunk. I think that explains why she hired this girl. She was most likely a friend of one of the other workers, not someone who just walked in and applied for a job. I have no idea how much she’s being paid but it’s always surprised me how they’d give more hours to higher paid employees (been there longer). Not that they were doing a real fantastic job. That only increases your salary expense. But not mine to figure out. Honestly, I like working early in the a.m. then having the rest of my day to do what I need to do. Like right now I usually get there around 6:15. I don’t plan any appointment (taking care of the car, MD appts, etc) until after 12 when I know definitely I won’t be working. Yes, there are times when I can’t do that. Like early in May I have to go for my(yuk) colonoscopy. I guess we shall see what the future brings. She said she was going to think of something I can do for the fifth day. I want to enjoy my job. After all the years of struggling, depriving myself, etc. I think I deserve to be happy. I’ve always said that they were stuck with me until the job stopped being enjoyable. That’s why I quite working at Food Lion.
One of the things I find I like about living in North Carolina where we are is the lack of traffic. I really don’t like going to Charlotte because of all the traffic.
After exercise I went to WalMart, bought gas, then stopped at Sam’s just to see if they carry the things I need. They really don’t. So in a bit I think I’ll take a walk down to Food Lion to see if they carry them. Also, I want to get some shrimp for Easter (the shrimp is frozen) since it’s on sale BOGO
Someone is supposed to come here tomorrow about the deck. I don’t know...on the phone he talked about rebuilding the whole thing. I don’t know if everything needs to be rebuilt, I would think that some things can be saved. Another guy is coming Monday at 4 (we should be home from bowling by then, we usually get out around 3). Then probably later in the week C’s friend should be here.
Heather– you go girl! All that walking
Rosa– welcome. Lots of ladies on here do crafts. I like most crafts except quilting. I’m not a real good artist that’s for sure.
Lisa– Vince is going to build computers since ours isn’t compatible with W11 and he’s ordering the parts because of the possible tariffs on China. Most all of the components come out of China.
Rita– is Portofino’s a chain? I could swear we were at one, I thinking DE

Carol - my sympathies. Pain like that is so dispiriting. I hope you get some relief from the prednisone.

🌞😃 Went to the doctor today for review of annual blood tests and to renew prescriptions. All looked good but she was concerned that I'd lost 7 pounds since last year. I was delighted when I got off the scale when I saw my weight. I assured her that it was because I was eating better and wasn't try to lose weight. It just shows what a few months of no ice cream, cookies, sauces, gravy, chips, or restaurant meals can do 😀🌞 They also gave me my Covid booster so I don't have to make a separate trip to the pharmacy 😀 Annie did well in the car for 70 minutes (her longest wait so far).🐾 I thought she would lick my face off when I got back in the car.

Margaret - you visit the neatest places! Thank you for taking us along on your trips. Seems like just a week ago we were looking at snow statues with you - hope that chilly stuff is done for a while. 😁
Mo - Sounds like you had a nice vacation but I bet it's good to be back home to your normal routine. Sorry your hip is flaring up. Rosie seems just fine, thank you for asking. Did I mention here that I found a nest of dead baby rabbits behind the greenhouse a few days ago? Something had found the nest and dispatched them all. Rosie likes to spend a lot of time in that area, out of my eyesight. I'm wondering if she found them and played "squeaky toy". 😣 Cats generally make a meal out of little ones. There are probably still 3 or more nests in my back yard and though I don't condone it, I wouldn't punish her. My only concern is that she'd try to gulp them down or roll in them when they got "ripe" enough.
Carol - so sorry your back is acting up as well. Crossing fingers the prednisone does the job. These aches and pains as we get older are just so aggravating!
Barbie - Glad you got your doctor visit in. Yep, no "junk food" makes a huge difference. Good to hear Annie did OK guarding the car for that length of time. 😁
I went to the dentist today - cleaning and 6 month checkup. I've been having intermittent pain around an upper molar, thought I was flossing too hard and maybe I was. But the dentist said it might be time to replace that crown. It's probably 35 years old. I'm not looking forward to it but grateful it's lasted that long. Unless there's an acute event, I'll wait until this PT stuff is done.

Yesterday was mainly a blur. Didn’t get upstairs from recovery room until 3 or so waiting for a room. Completed two wedge resections to lower right lung. Removed initial tumot original concern and two others. This morning they determined a knick to part of lung filtration system/lymph node sort if things so basically have a fat leak (chylothorax). Basically extremely low fat diet until it heals. Now looking at Saturday release. Other than that procedure went well.May not have final pathologies for 10 days. Pain is tolerable (under control with medications). Nothing ti do but rest and heal.
Take care all,

Went to ceramics tonight and picked up my Tipsy Fish.
Food Lion seems to be the only store that carries Yukon Gold potatoes. Got my shrimp. I'm going to use the potatoes on Easter and try making scalloped potatoes. They don't have hot cross buns, either.

I just looked up hot cross buns. Seems they have raisins in them so I know Vince won't eat them. Not sure about Jess, I doubt it. So off to find something else to have.

Hello Everyone;
I have washed the chlorine out of my hair and blow dried it. I packed one suitcase and did my laundry. Will get up at 4:00 am, to finish up and go to the airport. I think I will load the dishwasher before bed too. We had fun today. The weather was perfect. You all have a wonderful night. Ginny, I hope you have a pain free night and you too Carol. Carol, you gave me an idea, that this all could be either my sciatica or my ruptured disc. I will need to look into all when I get back home.
Machka, you are beautiful. I love your pictures.
I am going to finish up here. You all take care.

Ask. It's OK to ask questions. Better than assuming.
I know that the store mgr has a soft spot in her heart for people who are in a bad situation.
That's great! 💕

Good morning!
Ginny- Thank you for taking some time to let us know how you are fairing. Prayers and gentle hugs!
Allie- i hope you are resting as well!
Mo and Machka- I love the smiles!
Carol- I hope you find relief soon.
I have to say I am a little "jelly" of those of you working in your yards. It has been either cold or wet when I am home. I will get there. Last night I made chicken parmesan in the microwave. It was yummy! This morning I have venison roast, potatoes, and carrots in the crock pot. Hopefully turns out good. Currently working and sleeping, so trying to get some good foods in. Yes, I can cook entire meals from scratch in microwave. It is the one kitchen appliance that is a must have for me.
Cali and Tori are almost 10 lbs each. They will be a year old in a week. I generally fall asleep with Tori either on my chest or across my legs. Cali is typical calico.. .she only wants attention on her terms! That means usually about 4 am from my DH. He is such a light sleeper! They occasionally wake me up, but rarely do I stay awake more than a pet or two-hehe. Other than early morning petting, she is good for about 2 mins worth early evening. Tori is definitely the lover. They like going out in the morning, not so much in the evening. I think more dogs are out then. I keep saying that we got them to be outdoor cats.....my DH keeps saying they can't be out all day! We apparently are barn car failures!
Dishwasher emptied, dinner going, bed made, caught up with you all ( the most important thing to me). I reckon I should get ready for work. My customers depend on me.
Healing thoughts!
Welcomes!
Cheering the positives in your lives!
Helping to support you in the down times as well!
Much love,

Ginny - Looking forward to hearing positive results from the pathologies. Rest and relax and heal. Sorry about the nick, but glad you're where you need to be a little longer.
Carol - Pain takes its toll on us, dear heart. I'm sorry your back is chiming in as well, hope the steroids help. They have, on occasion, been tremendously helpful for me.
Debbie - Glad you found me!
Heather - Edie knows you very well - kinda loving the card.
Mo - Loving those smiles - but I do think it's funny, considering your earlier comment, that your husband is holding his phone behind your head. You look relaxed and happy.
Machka - Love the pics of you! You look so happy.
Allie - Thinking about you, baby girl. Hope it's a good day.
Took yesterday off from almost everything except a little laundry… so maybe today I'll accomplish something! Maybe not, I dunno. Happy Friday, y'all… whether past, present or future.
Love,

Picked up the girls, only to be given the news that Bea is now gluten free. Aaarrrggghhh. So no more pesto pasta, as she doesn't like gf pasta. I think she will have to find one that she likes!!
We all trooped into the Co-op to find her something she liked. She settled on a smoked salmon gf sandwich, with added cheddar cheese. Weird, but fine.
They were complaining that their dad wasn't telling them much about my ex, their grandfather. My son had recently flown up to Scotland to see him, but just said he was a bit better. They want to know more. I agree.
Just done a Waitrose order for tomorrow while they were playing cricket.

😀 Ginny, glad to know that you're on your way to recovery and planning to rest.
😀 Lisa, I watched on of your videos while waiting in the car with Annie while my friend was at her eye appointment. You are wise and pleasant to watch and listen to.
😀 Kylia, what I like about people signing with their location is that it cuts down on my frustration about weather and outdoor activities because it reminds me that we in the north can't expect southern weather. I was able to cut the grass yesterday minutes before it started raining again.
😪 I woke up in the middle of the night with aches and pains all over which made no sense because I'd had a relatively sedentary day, then I remembered that muscle aches and pains were a possible side effect of the Covid vaccine. I took some acetaminophen and slept better.

Had to put Brownie down yesterday. Poor thing could hardly walk or hold her water. She wasn’t eating well, only drinking water. She had congestive heart failure and from her waist to tail, including her back legs were swollen with edema. She could hardly breathe, it was time.
Thought for today:
If a pig loses it’s voice….does it become disgruntled?

Tiling of shower stall is almost complete. Picking up grout and flooring today. Hope to find a faucet for the vanity as well. We're picking up steam!
