The youth group at our church do a dessert auction every May to help pay for camp. This is something I contribute a lot too because of all the amazing friends/memories I have from going to church camp as a teen. Lifelong friends because of it.
People spend crazy amounts for everything here too. A lot are parents and grandparents of the teens so they are helping their kids out but it is fun to watch. I bake a lot for it but never bought anything.
Another thing they do is have a garage sale for the same cause. We always donate to it but this year, we will be donating a LOT as we are in the middle of clearing out MIL's house plus getting rid of a lot of the daycare stuff that I don't need anymore(now that I am down to just one kid part time-will be great to clear it out and get the space back)

    HAPPY EASTER!!

Dh, ds and his girlfriend all went to church with me this morning. It was really nice. So many people came up to dh to tell him it was great to have him back. Hope he starts going with me at least occasionally. The pastor even came down and told dh right as church was starting but before he started to talk. As soon as he saw dh he came over. That was nice.

I will be cooking the salmon a little later. Kids went back to the other house and took care of the dog. I will cook and they can take the food back to eat when they get hungry
I made the deviled eggs this morning beings I had time after making the mac and cheese and frosted the cupcakes. My mac and cheese didn't make it out to the table at the potluck, never opened, so took it home and son took it with him. He was happy. I will steam some asparagus and cook some rice for dh. Make a salad for me. Maybe green salad or tomato/cucumber salad.Very simple

Transplanted the rest of my plants I started in the hydroponics. Have a second set in the actual hydroponic system. They come up pretty fast in that. One week for tomatoes to pop up. I am going to have a LOT of tomato plants. Some for here, some for mom's and a few over at MIL's house for the kids-they want cherry tomatoes and Japanese cucumbers.
Dh is napping. He can sleep. He said he didn't sleep well last night- too much going on in his head. Will give him melatonin tonight. Said he needed some Trazadone.

Catching up here and really enjoying the quiet. No tvs on, just hear the windchimes outside.

Kylia ~ Wonderful photos of your outdoor scenery. WOW! You were one busy lady yesterday!

Allie ~ Wish I had some advice for you regarding your upset systems but hope the dr's will be able to help.

Kylia I see you also have Creeping Charlie that I just learned is related to the mint family. So this time of year when it is just coming out you can add leaves, as long as you do not spray your lawn with weed killer, to a salad. The flowers are also edible. You can also make a mint like tea with it. Stems can be harder to digest. If you want to make a tincture you take a slightly wilted plant because it has less water in it and makes a better tincture… I guess it is good for sinus issues. Since it is related to mint I would think it is also good for stomach upset. Like mint it can get out of hand and will take nutrients from the plants around it so best not it a veggie or flower garden.

Sang at first service I love to sing joyous music. I did not sing second service. There is a different music director for that service and he picked out a piece that sounded like a Dirge. The rest of the day I just relaxed and did some research on my numbers that came back assessing kidney health. They were on the high side. Everything else was optimal or exceptional. Glucose was 90 while fastening. I no longer have metabolic syndrome.

My nitrogen was high and Creatine was borderline high. First recommendation is to up my hydration. It also explains the fact why I still get leg cramps at night. The tweaks I will do to my diet are up my water intake, lower the amount of red meat I eat. I will add a small glass of diluted cherry juice daily. I will limit high purine type foods like red meat. Continue eating no sugar yogurt and low fat or aged cheese. beans nuts and organic poultry and eggs for me. Even so watch I do not overdo protein. Surprising it is easy to over consume protein. Continuing on my high fiber diet is also highly recommended.
