I have what I call bermuda grass but it is a LOT bigger and the leaves are a lot longer(the other picture looks close to what we call crab grass. Some of the pieces are 6ft long or longer. I have a ton in my top garden that I need to pull next week.
Heading up to mom's- rushing a bit but that is ok- I have an amazing hour drive, mostly through the country. The area from St.Helena and Alexander Valley is so beautiful.
I will check in here when I get home on Sunday afternoon. Early appt. with the VA Monday morning. Hope that goes well.
Have a wonderful weekend ladies.
Debbie
Soon to be in Alexander Valley for a few days.5 -
Annie enjoyed the sun while I cut the grass and pulled weeds

Checking in. The job is different than anything I have ever done and a lot to learn. Taking it one day at a time. Thinking of you all and will read and catch up. Thank you for not giving up on me.

We signed the contract to get the deck rebuilt. Surprisingly, he said that it would only take a week to do. Well, just in case of rain or another delay, I’m figuring 2 weeks, maybe even 3. But that also means that if Jess and Colby stay here, she can have part of the deck for her garden.
Afterwards, got 2 more plants. I think this is going to be it for this year
Took my walk around the neighborhood tonight and one neighbor offered me irisis. Honestly, I don’t know where I’d put them. But then again, I have a brown thumb anyway. So I might pass. Planting these plants is more than enough for me.
Lisa – you’re singing my song. I got 2 more plants today. I’m thinking they’ll be the last 2 for this year. Anyway, it’s just so so much easier to plant them in the moist red clay. I planted a hosta yesterday and I didn’t even need the pickax which is why I got the other plants. I want to plant them while the ground is half-way decent. So I absolutely hear ya
The power failure we had yesterdayt really screwed with the alarm. It went off, so I got dressed, went to BK and there weren’t any cars there, the place was dark, doors locked. I banged on the door and no one came. Huh? The time on my phone said it was 4:45! So I went home and went back to sleep. Then Vince said to me “don’t you have work today”. The clock said it was 7:33. I almost fainted, it was so late. I wondered why someone from BK didn’t call since I usually get there early. Then I looked at the clock in the kitchen and it was 6:05. So Vince fixed it
barbie – while we were in FL in Feb. one of the cats opened the door and got INTO the cabinet. No small job getting him out. Vince had to take out all the glasses first.
Beth – this year seems to be terrible for the onion grass weeds. I’ve started cutting them way down, hoping that if I put mulch over them and they don’t get sunlight, then they won’t grow. We shall see…..
Rita and Margaret – you both have such great smiles
After the soup kitchen today stopped at CVS to get a prescription for Vince and my prep for my colonoscopy. Funsville.
Stopped at CVS the other day. Got2 bottles of Garneir Fruscis conditioner, a large bottle of Dawn and a small bottle. With coupons and extra bucks, got all that for$1.78. That’s the ONLY good thing about Vince taking so many meds….lol
Rebecca – “live and learn...and die a fool”….lol the “bucket”
Vicki – so happy for you in the new job. You’ll do great.

@pamiede - Well done keeping the weight below the 300 mark! Please sign your posts with what you'd like us to call you, whether name or nickname, and about where you are. It helps us keep each other straight! Like I always sign my posts Lisa in AR.
Vicki - We will not give up on you, dear heart. Catch up in your own time and know we think of you often. Remember, for every single new thing you learn, you're adding another month or more of brain health to your lifespan. Please note, I did just make that up, but it sounds good! 😅
Machka - Thanks for the kidney info. I do get tired of the constant tightrope… I have to get enough protein in to keep my heart and muscles healthy, but not so much that it overtaxes my kidneys or adds new kidney stones (which I've had as well, and they're awfully painful, you're right). But all things in moderation seems to be the best I can do, across all the tightropes I'm walking.
Kim - Thanks for the short girl tips… Now if someone can rig up a block and tackle to lift a 40-pound can of gas, I can make it work! 😀
Margaret - I'm glad it echoes for you too - it's both the best and the hardest thing to learn since I retired. "It may have to be done, but it doesn't have to be done right NOW." I need to put it up on my wall, I swear.
Beth - I'm really struggling with the weight I've gained since the medication started working and I began coming out of the malnutrition from the Crohn's. I know it means I'm healthy, but I despise watching the numbers on that scale rise, and feeling my pants get tighter. I seem to be able to maintain control of my eating for one meal, but then I don't just fall off the wagon, but fall off the wagon on my head by the next one. I know how to do this, we all do! And yet somehow, it's still just hard. I fully understand how you're feeling.
Off to bed, says sleepyhead…
Love y'all,
Lisa in AR6 -
Kidney stones usually show up between the ages of 20 and 50, and they are often genetic. In my case, my grandfather, uncle, me and my brother all have or have had kidney stones. I was 42 when the one got lodged and had to be surgically removed and it was my first awareness that I had kidney stones, but when I think back, there were a few other occasions which could have been kidney stones. I remember one in particular when I would have been about 22 or 23 when I had a lot of kidney pain. Nothing conclusive came from the tests then, so they guessed it might be a kidney infection. But after the larger stone when I was 42, I began to think that what I experienced when I was 22 or 23 was likely a kidney stone. Since my kidney stones only show up in CT scans, they wouldn't have seen them in tests back then.
Chances are, if you haven't had a stone yet, you probably won't get one … but there's a small chance you might.
For the most part, having kidney stones isn't a problem. I had the one that was, but I know I have had more and likely have several right now. Most kidney stones are very small and pass unnoticed in the urine. Occasionally I will have some tell tale pains and might notice little flecks in my urine a little while later, if I look.
As you know, hydration is the most important factor. Not only can it help prevent stones from forming, it can also provide the lubrication to be able to pass the stones if they do form. Knowing that I've got kidney stones is a good motivation to be sure to remain hydrated!
Have a look at these (they're very similar)
I'll add that I avoid those high protein/keto type of diets because they can damage the kidneys.

I also tried out a new sleeping position - on my left side, small pillow between my knees, right arm "hugging" a large firm pillow, firm small pillow beneath my head. I love side sleeping but my right arm would always go to sleep and/or become painful. Keeping it elevated seems to have solved the problem and back feels much better today.
That's how I've been sleeping since I was in my 30s. I can't remember when I got the first body pillow, which I still have somewhere. When my husband and I shared a bed, I gave it up, but after his accident, when we split our king bed into twins, I got another body pillow.
And any time we've travelled, I always create a nest … one or two pillows under my head and the bigger ones on either side of me.
I like being able to rest an arm on the pillow or drape a leg over the pillow.
When I finish unpacking the office, and find the other body pillow, I want to use the stuffing to plump up my current body pillow.

Yes and just Megafol5.

I have been off work since Friday 18th and I return to work on Monday 28th
In that time, I've enjoyed a lot of cycling. 😍
Saturday 19th
Intervals (HIIT) behind the airport. Did better than my first attempt the week before. Threw everything into the last interval and hit 35 km/h on flat ground, without the benefit of a downhill. I would have been pleased with that when I was in my early 30s … I'm thrilled with that in my late 50s!Sunday 20th
We travelled north and I took a day off exercise. That was my second day off exercise since the beginning of the year.
I would like to exercise at least 15 minutes on at least 300 days this year. That goal gives me 65 days which I could possibly take off. I have now taken 2 of the possible 65 days.Monday 21st
A fantastic 50 km ride in northern Tasmania! First one since my birthday in early March. I rode about 15 km of it with my husband who can ride his step-through Bike Friday now, then did the rest on my own. Felt really comfortable.Tuesday 22nd
First a walk around the historic farm where we were staying. In case you wondered, the stuff in the photo to the right is wool.
Second, a bicycle ride that ended in an amazing sunset. My husband and I rode together for 20 km, and then I did the rest on my own at a faster pace.
Wednesday 23rd
First I went out and did a ride on my own so I could go fast (well, faster) to get the energy out of my legs. Then I rode with my husband at a more casual pace.
We found that it's better for me to burn off my energy first, and then do a nice cool-down ride. If I ride slowly with my husband first, I'm too restless and keep speeding up and leaving him behind.
Thursday 24th
We had a shopping day at tip shops, junk stores, and a nursery.I was looking for a half wine barrel or two for my spring bulbs, but didn't find anything.
When we got back to our historic farm stay, I went for a walk.
We really enjoyed our nice quiet stay at the historic farm. Love it there!
Friday 25th
Drove home.Did a bit of gardening.
Went for a slow bicycle ride with my husband.
Saturday 26th
Gardening most of the afternoon. I'm trying to make some progress on the front, mainly, and throughout the whole garden. Then a nice brisk bicycle ride.
Today's bicycle ride took me over 200 km for the month! That's the 4th month in a row I've ridden more than 200 km in a month. Not the quantities I used to ride, but better than I've done in a few years. I might not be able to ride as much next month or throughout the winter, so I'm pleased with the first 4 months of the year. And I might ride tomorrow too. 😀
We love staying at this historic farm. It's so quiet and beautiful and we can wander around the old buildings and have a look at things. Plus the cycling around there is excellent.

Machka - It sounds like your dream vacation. It is very like you to figure out how to get what you need for your own physicality, and then accompany your husband to give him both the emotional and physical support he needs. Speaks very strongly to the oxygen mask theory when flying. First your own mask, then help those who need it.
Cleanup and future plan stuff:
The first roll-off dumpster weighed literally ten tons. We had to pay $50 a ton for everything over two, so I know exactly how much it was. It was mostly from the burn pile, in a spot literally ten feet from the house, probably for more than 30 years.
There was no thought by the denizens of the house to refrain from burning anything and everything on it, unfortunately.
Hopefully, we got most of the truly poisonous stuff gone, but there is still a smell left behind that is clearly human habitation. Bet money that "disposable" diapers were burned over and over again. Much fainter than it was before, but it's there.
After we've gotten the house and both sheds demolished, we'll get some truckloads of clean fill dirt in, or bring it down one load at a time from further up on our property. A decade under dirt will help break down the organics that are left, and hopefully rehab the whole property.
I think I've mentioned that Corey wants to just basically turn the whole place into a sweeping lawn, rolling away from the front of our house, with one stone terrace uncovered and cleaned up.
He says that the underside of the house will be just dirt, as it's built on a frame of cinder blocks. Once those are removed, it's just a matter of capping any pipes, etc. But, that will still leave us with one concrete pad, about 20 feet by 10. It was probably originally created for a small garage.
Cor's decided that it is the perfect place for a greenhouse. He wants to be able to grow veggies all winter, and give me a place to grow flowers and trees from cuttings.
Love this man - I see muck and he sees the magic to come.
Had a good conversation with Corey last night that helped me come to a couple conclusions for something I'd been worried about, so I'm in a better place mentally.
Later, my dears,

Thank you, Lisa. 😘
Just tossing this out there as an idea, what about laying down compost and mulch, then cover it in clean dirt. That might help with "cleaning" the soil.

Good Morning Friends...From Art in Bloom. Picture of the Florist with the work of art. The figure was used in what I believe was in the Japanese culture. She said it was used as a container to hold the grieve after a loved one dies. When I looked for more info they said a figure was often used to store the grief of a miscarriage. I also learned white flowers are common at Japanese funerals because white chrysanthemums and lilies, are used to symbolize death, grief, and the purity of the soul's journey to the afterlife. While white is preferred yelllow is also acceptable. I think these florist picked the color flowers she did because they went so well with the color of the figurine and the vase.

John had fun climbing all over the table to take some publicity photos of me!! I think this one is the best.
Of course, I've managed to cover up half my name!
After that I did my own first video to upload to Instagram. It's far from perfect, but I'm taking my own advice and taking a risk. I did manage to add subtitles, because I don't usually have the sound on, and don't like videos without them. First times are always scary, but I did it!
Love to all, Heather UK xxxxxxxx

Machka … I love how you used your time off! So often we take vacation or time off, but don't really do things that refresh and restore.
Vicki … a new job is stressful. One day at a time …
Ginny … thinking about you and praying that each day is getting easier … hugs.
Allie … your grands are cutie pies! How is your oldest granddaughter (Taliah?) doing?
Michele … I'm pretty sure we have to destroy the bulbs of the onion grass weed … arghh.
The bathroom project is picking up steam! The vinyl plank flooring will be completed today and we're hoping to set the toilet back down today as well. (Traipsing down the hallway has been disturbing the dog and he thinks it's time to get up when I'm just making a 4:00 visit to the bathroom.) The vanity (still have to get hardware for the cabinets), sink and faucet will be next … followed by floor trim. Last on the list is ordering a shower door. This is going to be a little tricky as the shower alcove was NOT square, but I've researched a line that has "out of plumb allowances" instructions.
Should have known better … to save my husband from more work, I convinced him last year to hire a contractor to repair tile on a spillway wall of our pool. The bid was for a lot of money, but then I thought the company contracted would do an expert job and fix a big problem (they are a large pool construction company in the area). They sent two repairman (sub-contracted, I'm sure) on Tuesday and those men did an atrocious job. So very disappointed. There's no question that in a few years time, these tiles will also fall off again … not to mention it looks bad.
On the other hand, we called a national chain that provides junk removal to get rid of our construction debris. They came on the same day as the tile repairmen and they did an outstanding job! Fantastic communication. Nice Guys. Did exactly what they said they would do.

Vicki Agree this is the time to focus on learning your new job and doing what you can to take care of you!
This was in my Facebook feed today. When I explored the source of the words others disputed the Pope wrote these words that is why in changed it to in honor of the Pope author unknown. I am using M advice and rather than just passing on info without further investigation so it helps my understanding and accuracy the best I can.
Words being shared in honor of Pope Francis. Not sure of the author...
“The walls of hospitals have heard more honest prayers than churches...They have witnessed far more sincere kisses than those in airports...It is in hospitals that you see a homophobe being saved by a gay doctor.A privileged doctor saving the life of a beggar...In intensive care, you see a Jew taking care of a racist...A police officer and a prisoner in the same room receiving the same care...A wealthy patient waiting for a liver transplant, ready to receive the organ from a poor donor...It is in these moments, when the hospital touches the wounds of people, that different worlds intersect according to a divine design. And in this communion of destinies, we realize that alone, we are nothing. The absolute truth of people, most of the time, only reveals itself in moments of pain or in the real threat of an irreversible loss.A hospital is a place where human beings remove their masks and show themselves as they truly are, in their purest essence. This life will pass quickly, so do not waste it fighting with people.Do not criticize your body too much.Do not complain excessively.Do not lose sleep over bills.Make sure to hug your loved ones.Do not worry too much about keeping the house spotless.Material goods must be earned by each person—do not dedicate yourself to accumulating an inheritance. You are waiting for too much: Christmas, Friday, next year, when you have money, when love arrives, when everything is perfect...Listen, perfection does not exist.A human being cannot attain it because we are simply not made to be fulfilled here. Here, we are given an opportunity to learn. So, make the most of this trial of life—and do it now.Respect yourself, respect others. Walk your own path, and let go of the path others have chosen for you.Respect: do not comment, do not judge, do not interfere.Love more, forgive more, embrace more, live more intensely! And leave the rest in the hands of the Creator.” in honor of Pope Francis

Margaret - I would love to teleport out and attend the Art in Bloom with you. Lovely arrangement and interesting story about the figure that holds grief.
Also, I appreciate the information you are sharing about kidneys. I read a while back that oxalates (as Machka mentioned), found in spinach for example, contribute to kidney stones. Most of the organic salad mixes have a lot of baby spinach in them and I've been trying to pick it out and give it to the chickens. I did more research thanks to Copilot and found out that cashews and almonds, some of my favorite "snack" nuts, are also high in oxalates. The good news is that the calcium in dairy, which I eat/drink a lot of, binds the oxalates which lessens the chance of forming stones. The bad news is that the bound-up calcium doesn't reach our bones. So to be on the safe side I'll cut back on the oxalate containing foods and increase water. Had a kidney stone about 25 years ago and don't want a repeat.
Machka - the invasive grass I have here looks similar to what you are dealing with. I mow what I can and weed eat the rest. The landscape crew has torn it out before but it just comes back in a year or two. I wonder if changing the PH of the soil would make a difference?
Ginny - glad there was benefit to having the surgery, PITA that is has become, and good that the doc got to see the "leak" in action. Macaroni and cheese and ham sound like a good way to get back to eating fat. 😉 Wouldn't that be something if the fellow who is painting decides he'd like to buy your house? Sure would cut down on the listing/showing fuss.
Rita - so glad Al-Anon is helping. You have so much on your plate right now with the move, DS and your DH.
Lisa - I admire your talent on the tractor and using the bucket. Sounds like Corey has a neat vision for improving the yard. 😉 I solved the "too heavy gas can" problem by only putting 3 gallons in each 5 gallon can. For DH, 5 gallons - 40 pounds - was a breeze as it probably is for Corey. Lifting 25-30 pounds about 30 inches to the mower infill is a little heavy, but I can manage. Prior to that, my sweet neighbor would take the cans to the station and fill them for me, then when I needed to put some in the mower he would come over and help. After he broke his shoulder I thought there had to be a better solution and the light came on, lol. Roger across the street told me he only uses the 2 1/2 gallon cans these days.
Vicki - so glad you checked in! I'm sure there's a lot to learn but you'll do fine. Sending prayers.
Heather - great publicity photo! That top is a nice color for you! Will there be another book in the works? Hope to get back to reading the current one this weekend.
Michele - hope the contractor does a good job on your deck and all goes smoothly.
Carol - how's it going with the PT? I thought of you yesterday morning. I felt like I'd been hit by a truck and hurt all over when I got up. Depressing! That might have been from bouncing around on the mower. So I didn't even do my PT exercises.
Made it into town for my 10:00 blood draw - by that time I was in need of food and caffeine! After I had lunch and caffed up, I felt better and got a few things caught up outside. Thankfully I feel great this morning.
Hope it dries off this afternoon and isn't too windy so I can get back to spraying.

Well what an emotional afternoon yesterday. Youngest sailor called and we video chatted. Turned out after his Thursday GI doctor appointment he went straight to the hospital because his heart rate was 138. They tried to do prep drink for colonoscopy but his stomach wouldn't take it. So he's in the hospital over the weekend until Monday, when they try again. He looks so weak, defeated, and though I tried my best to be upbeat, after hanging up with him I just bawled. He's too young to have all this, he deserves to be healthy. It didn't help that his tv didn't work, and he didn't have his laptop to entertain himself. I tried to contact anyone, a patient advocate, or Chaplain, or Ombudsman to possibly get his key, and get it, but no humans answering. Mailboxes full so I couldn't even leave a message. Hopefully they can either give him IV fluids, because he's not really eating. I am hoping to possibly video chat again with middle son, the kids, to distract him a bit. I had called my sister last night and vented, and cried, and then also my middle son, so he stays in the loop. Its just a lot!

Thanks for your nice words. Yes, he is. I want to rush down there, but in reality its like a 4 day trip with the amount of driving my husband can muster a day. Then the hotels, and the gas money, plus the general uncertainty of what the Navy will do with him. He is essentially Navy property, so they have a responsibility to "make him as good as they can" before discharging him. That might be awhile. Its just hard to see him in pain. 😥💖

Rebecca ~ (((Prayers for You and Son)))
Lanette ~ I am hurting a lot today and don't know if it's the exercise, my back, or my hips! Having rainy days for the last 3 doesn't help I am sure. In addition, the humidity is aggravating my asthma. Hoping to be better once the days of rain are over.
Heather ~ That photo will make a very good video for you. The blue tones of the cover and your pretty top are lovely.
Vicki ~ Just take your time with the new job! I am sure you will catch on to the new bits soon and will enjoy your work.
Beth ~ Glad to hear that your bathroom is coming right along. Sorry the pool repair was not up to your expectations. Can you contact the company and have them redo the job?
Michele ~ Glad you got your deck repair under contract. Hope you will enjoy the new one.
Gardening: For years I had lovely canna lilies along our side fence and then the county redid the street and the lilies were destroyed. For some reason I bought some more to plant and just can't seem to get it done. I stuck them in the ground and we will see! 😒

Hello Friends. It’s been a minute since I popped on here, but I have been reading on and off. You all inspire me with your daily triumphs, creative endeavors, and stalwart support for each other’s journey towards radiant good health. We are such a wildly wonderful group of women and I am grateful to have found this community.
I have been living with a heavy heart, literally and emotionally. 🤎 (sorry I can't find the spoiler function on this new mfp format.)
I’m happy to report that I have just completed 21 days of wearing a Holter monitor. Mailed back the battery packs, cell phone, charger and extra 4”x 6”adhesives today. I had to do this because a recent EKG revealed right bundle branch block. I don’t have any symptoms, so I hope the extended time wearing the Holter will rule out anything concerning. Oh, and as long as we’re collecting heart data, I’m also getting an echocardiogram on Tuesday. I feel like a vintage car getting checked under the hood.
Gym workouts have been put on the back burner due to extreme circumstances that cut into my morning routine. A good friend who lives in my neighborhood lost her husband and mother within 3 days of each other. She took care of both of them in the house where she also works a full-time job with the state. Both were on home hospice. I visited her mother while paying a bereavement visit. I didn’t know Mom well, but always enjoyed her bright spirit and joie de vivre, which was on full display during our short visit. She passed the next morning. 😢 So, for past two weeks, I’ve spent as much time as I could with my friend. Thankfully, she has a wide and strong network of friends for support. Compound grief is a sneaky animal. In supporting her, I’ve definitely triggered my own grief tsunami. Then the Social Security Administration sent me a communication related to my late brother’s estate. It’s been four years since he transitioned, but the sight of his documents and handwriting punched me hard. 💔 Deep breaths. It will all pass.
On the positive side: It's basketball and hockey playoff season. Lots of excitement where I work because our teams are involved. I love them both and have to moderate my anxiety when either team loses or doesn’t play to their potential.
I’ve slowly learned to hydrate better. My natural tendency is to live like Machka’s parents, but I’ve been morphing into one of those water toting mama’s with a colorful water bottle either in my hand or hanging out pretty close. I add fresh squeezed juice of one lemon to a tall refrigerator jar of distilled water, and then put the squeezed halves in the infuser basket that screws into the top of the water jar. I drink about 64 oz. of this per day.
I started getting Reiki therapy on a weekly basis (for now). In simple terms, Reiki is a practice of channeling and directing universal energy to balance chakras, stimulate healing and bring about insights. There is no disrobing or touching involved. It’s relaxing and I’ve found it enhances my intuition. I went seeking improvement for Morton’s neuroma on left foot and after 4 sessions it is much, much better! I studied Reiki about 9 years ago and may go back to get further certification.
My friend N will be here in 3 weeks. We have tickets to see Sting at Red Rocks. Then next day we’ll head to Estes Park for a couple of nights in a riverside cottage almost at the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. Should be a nice “date” (our 9th in just under 2 years). Go Golden Goobers!
Heather: I’ll be ordering your book this weekend. Congratulations. Every time you mention Shandiz I smile at the memory.
Pip: I see more first place medals in your future! WTG.
Lisa: I stand in awe of all you and Corey do around your property.
Vicki: Give yourself grace as you learn the new job. You are strong and bright.
Allie, Ginny, Carol, Rita, Debbie, Rebecca and everyone dealing with own pain or loved one’s suffering, I’m sending you supercharged healing energy and love. Please take good care. We can do this.

😀 Vicki, sending good wishes to you as you navigate this new job. A steep learning curve is exhausting.
😀 Michele, iris are really easy to plant and grow. They need to be near the surface so no digging needed, they multiply and they don't need much care.
😀 Ginny , sending more good wishes for your continued recovery. It never goes fast enough.
😀 Heather, you and your book look amazing.
😀 Beth, glad your bathroom is coming along. It's staggering how much is involved in redoing a bathroom.
😥 Rebecca, so sorry to hear about your son's health. I agree that rushing down there isn't the best solution.
😀 Rori, I just finished reading a book in which a main character made use of Reiki and I thought of you.
😱 Clutter clearing I just read about the difficulty of clearing "deep clutter" (those things that are neatly organized and put away carefully). When my mother died and cleared out her boxes of paperwork, one of the most interesting was financial stuff that included records of the money she spent and all her tax documents dating back to 1935 when she had her first job. Once I got over admiring her careful work, I was able to shred it all. Not long after, when visiting the accountant about our taxes, I mentioned my mother's files of old tax returns and the accountant was disappointed because she said she would have loved to see tax returns from so long ago. Now that I'm looking at my boxes that include my tax documents back to 1968, I have the same feeling that someone might enjoy seeing them. The truth is that no one wants to see any of my old papers. After all the time and energy it takes to accumulate and organize all that stuff, it's hard to let it go.
🤩 Everything I throw away makes me feel better, even if it's small.

Thank you for checking in with us! We need to stay connected! There is a part of me intertwined with each and every one of you, and know I care.🤗💖.
Your date with D sounds awesome! I am so jealous you're seeing Sting. I love him. My plan is to visit him in Italy at his villa. His wife will be gone for the weekend, and I will sip Limoncello while listening to him practice. Maybe he'll let me play his piano. (Snorts very un ladylike). I have mused pondering this encounter a bit too much, lol!!😂😂😂
There was a guy at our nudist resort that did Reiki, and it was a way to relax a person, yet not have to touch them physically. It is a very respectful technique.

Hey, kids,
Reading, absorbing, sending much love to Rebecca (and son), I know it's hard. Much love to Rori, as well, I'm sorry that grief is lapping at your shores once more. Glad to know N is in your life, and soon to return to it.
Four hours of hard, slogging work this morning got the worst of it in the dumpster, and another 60 feet of chain link down and in as well. The worst was the bathtub sitting by the back porch, and I'm pretty sure that a lot of the dirty diapers went there to rot. Corey turned all shades of green helping me pick it up oh-so-gently with the tractor bucket, and walked beside it with one hand on it to steady it all the way to the dumpster, where I was able to drive it in and gingerly put it down without dumping its load.
Ish.
Oh! A local guy saw we were cleaning up the place and offered to demolish the house and both sheds for $500 less than we budgeted, including us supplying the roll-off dumpster for the siding and shingles. He'll haul the rest off to use or sell, as he can. Rather use local if we can. Fingers crossed he does what he says he'll do - there will be no check written until its cleaned up. Beth - thank you for the reminder that it doesn't always go well. We'll see.
Later, my dears,
