What’s the best tasting protein bar?

I've just gotten back into protein bars and have found that Quest is one of the better ones. I've also had Barebells (really good), IQ Bars (spent enough when they had a good sale :)), just stocked up on Built Puff bars. Power Crunch are good too.
I really wanted to like the Think! Keto Peanut Butter Pie flavor but there was something off with the peanut butter taste. Didn't stop me from polishing off my 5 bar box tho.
All these bars have different flavors for different tastes. :)

I love Clif Bars! I also heard Kirkland bars are good but I have not tried them yet.

My favorite is Barebells.
But may I change it up a bit? What's a decent tasting protein bar with good protein/calorie ratio, zero or few non-natural food ingredients, and no non-calorie sweetener. My compromise at the moment is lower sugar alcohol flavors of Barebells.

I’m in the UK so our bars might be different but my current faves are Fulfill. I like the peanut and salted caramel ones. I also like the Barebell bars but they’re really expensive at the moment. Used to eat Grenade but they taste more sawdusty than other brands - and I don’t like the really artificial flavours. A cheaper and okay bar is M&S own brand protein bar. Not the most exciting but about 20% cheaper and I can digest it okay. Some bars cause digestive “issues”.

My Trader Joe's sells the Fulfill bars which I liked but I think I didn't buy them again because it was put in my head to stay away from the maltitol sugar alcohol.
Altho I just did a quick google search on maltitol and it's apparently lower GI so maybe I'll buy some more at some point :)
I don't eat protein bars all at once (I cut them up into 8ths or 4ths and mindlessly eat a piece at a time) so I'm good for a while!

Marketing 101.
Most with lots of carbs and all are highly processed with 200-250 calories which will spike most peoples insulin considering these are normally consumed in isolation as a snack and generally after blood sugar has come down to base line, so one of these will generate a good spike in insulin, which is not good and then and according to all things marketing, make you looking for more food a few hours later. A gravy train for food manufacturers. imo.

I used to really enjoy the Special-K Protein Bars. 190 calories, 12g protein, 5g fiber made for an excellent breakfast on the go. Sure, it has 7g sugars, but for my needs it was great, and it had the taste and texture of a granola bar rather than a dry piece of cardboard.

I love special K too. I only will mostly eat them as emergency snacks.

Nugo Dark Chocolate.
No artificial sweeteners, vegan, real cocoa, 200 calories, quality ingredients and best of all, enjoyable to eat. No chalky after taste, no wierd gummy texture.
The chocolate coconut tastes like a Mounds bar. Husband loves the chocolate mint.

….however, that said, to me protein bars are a snack, and a small one at that. Never ever ever would they be my main source of protein or a substitute for a meal. And as much as I love the coconut ones, I limit myself to one a day, unless I’m on a plane. Then I figure a couple of Nugo are a better choice than Sunchips and Biscoff.

I get to test free protein stuff for free every now and then, and have yet to find a single protein bar that actually tastes good. Yeah, they contain protein, and lots of artificial flavours, but texture is often meh. But especially taste is rather miserable. Like this halo top ice cream: you take a mouthfull, have some taste vaguely resembling what you bought, and then the taste is gone and you're left with water. I supplement my protein intake with powders, and I have found a few that work for me, but bars are just gross in my opinion.

Tried a Quest Blueberry muffin. Good tasting! Good macros. Not crazy about ingredients.
Tried Quest brownie. Disappointing.
Will look for Fulfill bars. Any particular flavor?

+1 on the Quest Blueberry muffin. I also tried the Chocolate chip but it was pretty crumbly all around. I tried it out of the package, frozen, microwaved, and from the fridge.

Try David bars. They are expensive, but they taste good and offer 28g protein for 150 calories. The New Yorker recently ran an article about them.
