U just gave me an idea! To hell with rewinding tapes with my finger. I'm through with that. Although I hear there are these things called CD's now...

This really does make me feel old...

The answer is that when the cassette tapes used to unwind themselves in the player, you'd use the top of a biro to wind them back up again...

I would use the pen to "cue" the tape so it would start where I wanted it to :)
    Gotta love the 80's

I still use cassette tapes, btw! I bought dozens of them when they were on clearance around 2000.

I was born in 89. My parents still had a record player and a cassette player was in our house and car well into the late 90s. Although some time in the late 90s we did get a CD player. Even though I am young I still remember it.

Haha, Yes!! And I remember putting tape over the "holes" at the top of the cassette so you could record over what was already on it. :D

Oh yeah, I forgot about that...once the little tabs broke off, you couldn't record over...hahaha. Amazing how far technology has come now!

Yes, I remember them all!! Making "special" tapes for your friends/BFs. MY brother, sister and I had to share one stereo between us on a cart with an 8 track player.
