Round 296
May 11 - 20, 2025

Please join us starting on 5/11 for JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS, when we will begin Round 296!

Anyone can join us at anytime during the round.

Join us! If we stay mindful we can do this, you can do this.

Welcome back past members, welcome new members, let's keep each other accountable for another 10 days!

Here is what you do: Post your daily weight and add little comments along the way of how your day went. You have only one hour to edit your post. Post everyday to let us know how you're doing! Copy and paste the days in your response--tell us how much you lost and other non scale victories (NSV) you'd like to share. Make the board your own - track what is important for YOUR JOURNEY.Β

FOR NEWBIES - I find it easiest to copy the dates to a document or note in my device and edit it each morning. Then copy and paste to the message board. MFP will return you to the spot on the board where you left off on your previous visit which is nice to know if you like to scan all of the posts.

πŸ‘πŸ‘This is NOT A DIET. It’s a LIFESTYLE

    🎷 67 yrs young F, 5ft 4 Round 296 (my 226th). So grateful as always @Quiltingjaine.

    Goals for every round;

First and foremost, no feeding frenzies – I am not a shark or even a piranha!

to weigh less at the end of the round than the start

be happy because I feel that I have made the round count at the end

I need to remain consistent - it does work! Good luck for success everyone.

    image-3edf4a111cd7e-23cd.png

Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, it’s taken me 75 rounds to achieve target of 130 = back to maintenance!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back to around 134. A healthy lifestyle must be a permanent way of life.

Updated 20.08.24 – I met up with youngest DB, first time after his DP passed away at the way too early age of 46. DB lives a long way from us, we see him very infrequently & is very introvert, so not a sharer of info 😞. However, he finally opened up to me, it seems that his DPs bad health leading to heart failure followed by kidney, liver failure & then a massive stroke, was originally caused by heavy drinking. By the time he realised he was abusing his body and went teetotal, the damage was too late to reverse. He was on the list for a heart transplant, but his other organs gave up before one became available. This has made me think about how I am abusing my body when I have binges with way too much sugar, fat & salt. I know I am a food addict. I'm going to try to think about this when I am tempted to overindulge, I need to start respecting my body more and think about whether I want to be in the best health I can be. My body has served me so well for 66 years, it deserves to be given the best chance to keep serving me well & I've been really lucky that life has not dealt me a raw health deal, so I must not jeopardize that luck.

5/10 140 – well that’s a surprise!! I did get on the scales twice to confirm! But I am pleased. That’s a loss of 1.8 pounds, but I look back at photos of a few years ago & I do need to get back down to mid 135’s. On a side note, I still haven’t got my β€˜phone back it seems that the police have lost it too, there is no record of where it is or who made the β€˜phone call, I’m beginning to think it was an impostor trying to get my address, or am I being little too suspicious? Still awaiting the sim for my new β€˜phone. See you all in the new round.

I enjoy reading everyone’s posts with my morning coffee.

    Highest weight 242 lbs Lowest weight 142 lbs (2019) Re-start JGMTD Feb 2024 @ 204 lbs

    Round 295 End Weight 176.8

05/11 176.2 Ok so I’m still hanging out up a bit BUT my weekend numbers are usually 2-4lbs heavier. Maybe last week, last round wasn’t my best but perhaps it set me up to for this round to be great?

I did wake up with all of the energy to have a successful day. I need to bring that energy with me all week and try to catch up on some gardening work.
I need to bring that energy to Mother’s Day brunch and the endless temptations that it will bring. There are healthy options and it’s early in the day. It shouldn’t ruin my progress on having the best weekend weight in months.

lol but then I’m reminded of the 10 other people who will be attending….

Must not chug bloody Mary’s and shovel waffles into my mouth…

Just Give Me 10 Days – Round 296
    May 11 - 20, 2025

    SW: 131.0

5/11 – 130.2 Definitely a mother’s day gift to me. I did do good things though yesterday, but also not so good. I did use the home gym yesterday, and planned and tracked all my β€œregular food”. Then I botched the brownies I was assigned to make and bring today to my sister-in-laws. Well, three guesses what happens to overcooked brownies. Yup, I think you figured it out. Any, so as to risk not messing up another tray, I drove to the store (would have needed more ingredients anyhow) and bought two perfect tubs of brownie bites.

    HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY TO ALL!!!

@MSWDiet I am so sorry for you, and all who were devastated by Helene. It was such a terrible and shocking storm, and its devastation was so unusual for a Hurricane. Glad you are here, and finding ways to care for yourself. We all will be here for support.

Tried to post a fish-pic but MFP won't respond. It would have shown how small a 4# bass looks when sharing a frame with me.

Today’s weight is artificially high. It’s all Mother’s Day weekend alcohol and gluten. I don’t regret it actually, I needed to have fun and just let go a little. But this shows how quickly the inflammation shows up in my body and that’s really bad for my autoimmune. One more day with hot dogs and cake today, I will do my best to get some veggies in.

My goal this round is to get back to 165.0, apparently! Shoot, so much for my timelines 😝

    🌷Happy Mother’s Day!🌷

    Hello MFP friends.

I didn't have a chance to browse any postings last round. This round I'll be more supportive of everyone. I appreciate everyone's dedication to all of our success.

My neighbors and I are still beaten down by hurricane Helene stress. However, there is never a good reason to live unhealthy.

I know that even a fast food menu can be altered for my needs. I've been doing it for over 15 years. A bacon burger no bun has more nutrition than oreos and onion potato chips. Often costs less too.

    Now I'm just rambling...

Wishing all of you Rousing SUCCESS for this round.

I'm sure you all did better than I did last round. Success takes dedication which I've lacked recently. I must improve.

    Goals:

Get off the excess salt and all sugar so I can drop this water weight

    Exercise burn 500 calories daily

    Full abs and flexibility daily

    Body fat calculation weekly

Yes I Can! Yes I Will!

    SW Rnd 296 - 157.8 lbs

    5/11 - 158.4

Not off to a great start. I know what's needed. Now how do I get myself "unstuck"?
