Hey, kids,
While we were right in the center of one band of storms, I don't think we got nearly the damaging winds etc. that a lot of Missouri, just north of us, did. The wind sound is what woke me, in fact, about 4:30 a.m., but won't know if there was damage outside until the sun's up. The power only flickered, and I only knew that because I had to reset the stove and the microwave clock in the kitchen.
For those to the north and east of me, hope the the storms have left you safe.
All my work yesterday paid off, as any outside work will be put off until the afternoon, at best, and possibly tomorrow.
Clear liquid diet today and tomorrow, as I'm on a two-day prep, rather than the usual one-day cleanout. My system moves slower than some - so no solid food until Tuesday morning after the test. Because I'm don't want to overwhelm my system with sugar, I will be getting in very few calories over the next few days, even though according to the diet list, there are some fruit juices I could drink.
But unfortunately, apple juice makes me gag and while I like cranberry juice, the liquids I can drink can't be red, orange or purple. But I've got quite a bit of sugar-free lemon and lime Jell-O made up in the fridge, and have the "Better Than Bouillion" beef, chicken or vegetable broth that can be made up. We use them a lot in cooking. I'll be drinking water and iced tea after my one cup of coffee each morning. Herbal teas in the evening.
Mostly, I just need to stay busy. So I'm going to go do that little thing.
Later, my dears,

Flea … that's a horrible discovery. But I am glad it was discovered before it got any worse. I wonder if the mother had some sort of inkling something was not right because she was very supportive of her daughter. You hear of situations where the mother choses to believe her partner rather than her child.

I reread my post that is supposed to be finger cots, sheesh
Didn't sleep well last night even with melatonin..oh well..will get dressed and take the laundry down to the dryer..

😀 Tracey. you are so creative and your yard and deck reflect that.
😀 Machka, I am like you that I don't drink any of my calories and don't digest nuts well so except for a few recipes made with peanut butter, I avoid nuts. Fortunately my body likes dairy so I include cheese.
😀 Flea, What a horrible experience for those young people. It is fortunate that the mom believed the kids and didn't blindly support her partner.
😀 Rebecca, your plan looks great. Now the trick is to stick to it.
😀 Everybody knows that a diet of broccoli and grilled chicken is better than a diet of Cherry Garcia ice cream and wine, but the trick is sticking with what is healthy.
😪 I really miss having Jake to tell about everything that happens. No matter what I do, I think about what I'll tell Jake about it and then realize that he's not here to tell about it. On the other hand, he would have hated that I've cleared off nearly every surface in the house and insist that things get put away when they're not being used. He would also hate most of what I watch on TV.

Getting there - v slowly. 😏 Took up some protective paper the painter had taped to the carpet. Hoovered again. Swapped my wicker wastepaper basket with the falling apart one in John's room, binned that, and ordered me a nice grey one. Binned some old bedlinen, and a scruffy old towel. Decided to keep the old bulb in the lampshade. It's fine. Ordered a new off-white, slimline, laundry bin , which will fit in the corner behind the bed.
I still haven't hung up the curtains. 😳 I am awaiting my moment when John is happy to help me. Or, I just bring up the stepladder. 😂 I'm pretty sure they will look too skimpy when closed, but I could buy another set to add, if it bothers me. I love my new linen-look cushion covers. The insides will arrive tomorrow. I ordered feather ones. 16".
I've emailed a local upholsterer, about re-covering the Arts and Crafts rocking chair. Just for a ballpark figure so I know if it's possible. It doesn't need new padding. If it's too expensive it can come upstairs. I love it, but it's totally the wrong colour palette.
Done some laundry. Made lunch. I had ordered 4 new knobs for the wardrobes, but only one arrived. The other three are coming today, in two separate packages. ???? Plus a set of magnetic catches for the bedside cupboard. At the moment, the original sprung catches are very noisy, and would spill your tea they are so strong! The new ones are stick on, so even I can do it, once I've unscrewed the old one. As I woke up far too early today, with thoughts of curtains whirring round my head, I think my priority is sleep. Nothing is urgent. R e l a x.
Love to all, Heather UK xxxxxxxx

Barbie - One of the things that really helped a lot when dealing with my mother's death was that a few months after she died, I began to write letters to her every morning telling her all those things that I thought about telling her - sometimes just a note, sometimes a few paragraphs, sometimes pages. For more than a year, I "spoke" to her every day that way. It was useful… until I realized I was fibbing to her about how things were going, so she wouldn't know what was going on!
Didn't say it was necessarily a completely sane response, but it really helped stop that feeling of taking a blow every time I realized I couldn't pick up the phone and call her, or simply go talk to her.

Hi Gals,
In my head I have committed to commenting here at least once a week….. usually over the weekend.
I got so overwhelmed with work from October till Christmas and then the backed up stuff from Christmas that I am just now coming out of it… and I did not fully realize until I started to surface. You add to that a new housemate, my mom’s issues, and now my DB stroke plus and I am just realizing what a mess my world was. I may have lost a friend in the mix. I put her calls off, I bailed on getting together and now have realized and am missing her. She is not responding and I think the youngers would say she is “ghosting” me but she is in her 80’s I think she is just hurt. I am going to write a card, I have called and emailed and texted with only one short response. But I am going to keep trying.
Code Switching: You may not know the term but most of us do it – the place it is most done is from work to home and back again. Especially if your work was/is in a professional office style setting. We are more familiar at home, maybe with a bit more slang, or “dirty words” and at work we are more careful in what and how we say it. It is most often referred to as Lisa mentioned when you step across two cultures, you work in a professional all white/all Yankee (northerner)/all _______, but home is in the hood, in a southern family, or maybe you speak a different language at home. My house mate is of Mexican heritage and grew up speaking Spanish at home, I have been doing Duolingo and we are speaking a very tiny bit of Spanish at home…. At this point it is more Spanglish (spanish english mash up) as I can’t say a usable sentence in Spanish, but I can add a few words here and there. Ie: I cannot ask him to clear up the table, but I can say Luis, por favor clear up la mesa. I am only speaking at a 2-3 year old level.
Lisa – I love the idea of writing to a passed family member. Can I ask what did you do with those letters?
Heather – wow sounds like a huge transformation of your bed room!
Beth – hope all works out for the bathroom, I don’t know how old your home is but mine is from 1961 and has the same problems no walls or corners are exactly plumb any more. The shower door assembly in the master bath has shims in a few places to make it square enough to work well. They were able to get wider molding from the shower door folks to cover the shims .
Flea – WOW how horrible, for the kids and for the mom. Mom did the right thing!!!!, but her life is as upended as much as the kids – just differently. The step dad’s behavior is disgusting.
Carol – You can do this. Small changes, cook a bit more, read a few more labels, tuck a few more veggies in. I made Lasagna the other day, and in the sauce included a grated zucchini (that I had squeezed all the water out of) The choices you make will be good for both of you.
Katie bug - I also was one who thought you were taking in Lavendar/opossum but the rest of the explanation makes good sense. You are giving that dog and the family such a gift and every time you go to visit, Lavendar/opossum with be delighted to see you she’ll know who has taken care of her.
Heidi – wow that was scary I know you said mold but that sounds like a reaction to a bit of chlorine gas. I have worked with pools over the years and in some commercial settings chlorine gas is in pump areas. Glad to hear you are on the mend and have some fun stuff planned.
Rita - Lucy is a cutie…. And I just laughed and laughed at the mime of the guy falling off the tread mill and turning the fall into pushups…..
Barbie - there is a line of dog toys called “Unstuffables” they are similar to a stuffed toy without the stuffing but some still have the squeaker. My Levi loved to tear a stuffed toy apart in minutes but the “Unstuffables” would last months before they were shredded. I do think Annie is getting better, just slowly, based on the stories you type.
Speaking of Annie – has anyone heard from Anne the human with the dad with dementia?
Pip – the kitchen looks great!!!! Glad you did not catch Covid. And had a great time on your cruise. A rental for the MS ride sounds like a great idea.
All the pictures! Flowers, scenery, grands and more – I love them it makes it easier to imagine your lives
Thinking of you all,

Kim - I started thinking about that after I wrote that paragraph. I wrote them all into a spiral notebook, and they were unintentionally destroyed, along with 25 or 30 years of my own handwritten journals.
When Corey and I lived in the 5th wheel for a bit, the year before I started posting with this group, a pipe broke in our bathroom, and the 5th wheel "basement" flooded. Literally the only thing not in a plastic bin and protected was a box full of my old journals, and they were all completely waterlogged and illegible. I threw them all in the dumpster near where we were living.
I had actually used them all to write my autobiography two years prior, so it was not a tragedy in the slightest.

I forgot how active puppies are! She is crazy and attached herself to me. She does sleep under the table in a bed I got her so not on our bed. She has learned how to walk on a leash and knows her name. Potty training is next to focus on! She is doing very well. Took her for a walk yesterday while I was doing my rounds (about 3/4 mile). She gave out about 1/3 of the walk but I finished my rounds holding her. This is a great way for me to socialize her. Lots of kids and people to meet. She only met 2 little kids which is why she was wiped out so fast! LOL
My friend K texted me all day long yesterday about the trip we are going on in about 8 days. She was getting all worked up trying to decide where to stay for one night on the drive. I don’t her that is will work out. Don’t sweat it. I’m sure there are small motels or hotels along the way. If worse came to worse, we could always sleep in the car! Won’t be the first time I did that during a trip. She was still texting me at 10 pm my time, 12 hers. I quit replying at 9pm. LOL she gets frazzled easily!

Did 20/20 Target Toning DVD. I thought this was using weights but it’s really more yoga, which isn’t bad since I do need more yoga. Then did Yoga for Beginners DVD. Then walked to Food Lion. They finally got the pineapple in that I wanted to try. Never heard of a pink glow pineapple. Bought two, if I like it I’ll keep the second one. If I don’t care for it, I’ll give it to Colby to try. Then went to Lowe’s Hardware to pick up the bailing wire for Vince, then WalMart for a few things since I was right there and bought gas. Made a chocolate “cake”. Trying something new. It’s a nobake cake. It’s cottage cheese and chocolate. We shall see how it comes out. I certainly won’t tell Vince that it’s made with cottage cheese!!!
Guess what? Vince says that although the pool is cloudy, it’s safe to go in. So guess where I’m going to go??????
Rebecca – good for you not tackling too much all at once. Only 3 things will lead to 4 which can lead to 5. You can do this. I find that popcorn (unbuttered)helps me want to drink so I can get more water in.
Lisa – had my colonoscopy a few weeks ago and I must say that I DO NOT miss my dinners of chicken broth with a side of jello. Good luck to you. I was very surprised to find that you can have black coffee. I always thought you could only have things that you can read a paper thru (like the apple juice). Well, it really doesn’t matter to me since I don’t like coffee anyway.
Put a load of laundry in the wash then went and exercised. By the time I was finished I could put the laundry in the dryer. Vince had clothes in the dryer so I just put them on top of the washer. He didn’t like that, said that it wouldn’t fit (it did). I just thought to myself “well...maybe you should have folded it last night when it was dry”.
Allie – how is sMiles’ potty training going?
Rita – I always look forward to your jokes.
Michele

Prep Day, oh prep day.......how clear can beeee those liquids...... (Ok I sang that)😁👍🏼
I love Better Than Boullion too, especially the roasted chicken one. I did simmer chicken bones with the BTB but I add turmeric, cayenne pepper, regular pepper, and a tsp of bacon fat.👍🏼
I am mixing 2 cups with 4 ozs of chicken, and some Barilla protein penne pasta made with chickpeas. Should be good!
Loving my Chike mocha coffee protein powder, just 2 scoops with 10 oz of water. Then shake in my shaker bottle. Then my 2 prunes.
Feeling good this morning! Might vacuum the bottom of the house here. For me it involves moving all the furniture, up ending the couches to sweep out any bits, bang the cushions round, dusting the window sils, and maybe attacking some spots on the carpet where husband has spilt food.
I
have lost 4.2 lbs thus far.😁

Michele, hey if doing the popcorn thing works then all the better. We all have our little tricks and tools to help us on our journey.
I video chatted with my eldest sister and was telling her things that help me. Like opening up the big container of frozen roasted chicken, and weighing it into plastic wrapped bundles of 4 oz. It is just easier to grab when making a chicken salad, or soup, or stirfry. I'm the only one that eats it. She thought it was a little OCD.
Having my 6 oz of steak last night was a bit much. I will stick with 4 oz when ever I have steak. I felt a little tight in the belly going to bed!

I am going to put the broth into "2 mugs worth" containers, then husband and I can warm it and sip whenever. Some containers will be 2 cups worth so I can make soup with them. Some will be poured into an ice cube tray so I have little cubes to add to things. Just because I am eating more intentionally doesn't mean I need to eat a bland piece of dry chicken or something!😂😂

Rita - you will have great fun with your friend! Sometimes it's best not to plan things to the nth degree and just let the spirit of adventure take over. Lucy will be great company for you and DH.
Tracey - your handiwork along your house is just beautiful, thank you for posting those photos.
Kim - it's great you are picking up some Spanish. Using it helps reinforce it. Many years ago I worked with Amish and Mennonites who spoke "low German." I took German in college but it's different when it's someone's first language. I often asked them to talk to me in German so I could try to figure it out. It ended up being a fun way to learn (I've forgotten most of it now.)
Also, how is your brother doing?
About drinking water….
I ran across interesting information about the effects of dehydration on dementia and Alzheimer's.
Let me back up: We've all heard we're supposed to drink half our weight in ounces of water, but I never knew why. Some diet programs said when we're hungry maybe we're really thirsty so have a glass of water. The diabetes prevention class I'm taking says drink a lot of water because it flushes excess glucose from our system. That was a new one for me.
Anyhow, there's evidence that dehydration leads to cognitive decline. That got my attention. My DH drank one glass (more like swallow) of water to take his pills. Other than that, he drank one cup of coffee, one or two beers and a couple Pepsi's and that was it. I remember my mom didn't drink water or liquids that I noticed. Probably because her thirst response was diminished because of her age, and also it made more work for my dad or mom's night caretaker to put her onto the commode.
Here's the article:
Tracey - Beth and others who are familiar with nursing homes… do you know if effort is made to make sure the residents are hydrated? Perhaps offering soups, flavored drinks and other foods like fruits help make up for the hydration if the residents aren't keen on drinking plain water?
Reminder that tomorrow is "weekly check in" for those of you participating.

Rebecca ~ You are doing great! 😊
Lisa ~ Yesterday I had to look up code-switching and today I had to look up 5th wheel. And, then I had to look up shims. My vocabulary is growing! 😂
Lisa ~ Sorry to hear that your journals were ruined. I have just this week thought to jot down my feelings about what is going on in my life. There is a situation that needs to be resolved but in my heart I don't think it will happen. I just write down what is causing me anxiety and then delete it. I have never been a writer and have a really difficult time expressing myself on paper and even when conversing with someone.
Kay ~ So glad Lavender will be able to go back to her home and so glad you are seeing to her needs before she returns to the farm.
Kim ~ Always glad to hear what is going on in your world even though I know you are a really busy lady. Yes, I am slowly working on reducing the sodium for DH and myself. Today I learned that diet coke has sodium…Ugh! I bought several seasoning shakers from Kroger yesterday and didn't read the label. Learned that 1/4 tsp of these have 50 mg. of sodium which doesn't really add much to the taste of what I am cooking.

🌻 This was me today when I tried to watch a DVD on the blue-ray player. I'm great with navigating streaming on the smart TV but the DVD was a challenge. I did figure it out after a good laugh at myself.
🐕🐾 About Annie. She is getting better and I'm getting better with her. I told the story about the torn up pillow primarily to talk about the second arrow--that the pillow wasn't the problem (the first arrow) as much as the projection, fear, and self flaggelation that I imposed on myself (the second arrow).
😢 It’s still cold and windy but I pushed myself to go out long enough to wash another section of the vinyl fence and fill a five gallon bucket with weeds. Slow and steady wins the race

Good to see you, Kim.😊
I got the new knobs on the doors. I think they look great. The screws that came with them were too short, so I used the screws from the previous set. Perfect. I also got the catch half off the cupboard. The other screw was too difficult. But I managed to turn it to an angle, and now the door is much better, just holding closed by friction.
Design , especially interior design, has been a passion all my life, but I have not had the money to pursue it. I have studied the history, I watch videos, I read magazines. I love the peace that beautiful surroundings bring me. Soul soothing.
I did get a quote back for the rocking chair. I will have to put it on hold, I think. Plus do some research into where to buy the material that I have in mind. It's doable, but not right now.
Edie landed safely in Spain. What an exciting few days it's going to be for her.
The painter is back tomorrow morning, to continue with the porch and front door.

😀 Lisa, I gave some thought about the idea of writing a journal or notebook to Jake about all the things I think I'd want to tell him and decided that it wasn't my style. Since I tend to talk to myself anyway, I can just incorporate him into my self talk. It's important to realize that most of what I think to tell him is stuff like "silly me, I forgot that the kitchen garbage can is in a different closet". None of it is especially significant.
😀 Heather, I'm enjoying hearing about your adventures in interior design. You are very talented, tenacious, and thorough.
😀 Allie, I'm reading a series of cozy mysteries set in a small town on Cape Cod. It sounds like a great place for a vacation. Glad you have had a good time.

Lisa - I went looking for stick on vinyl tiles and the only place I found them here was at Dollarama. I didn’t like any of the colours and they wanted $5 for one tile. I ended up going to our hardware store and bought 5 porcelain tiles for 7.98!Thank you for the idea.
Rodger built these little tables for me in 2005-2006. When we had our house fire my boss at the time bought me a couch the arms were really high and I wanted something I could sit a drink on without leaning over the arm.The my were just scraps we had laying around. The finish on the top was actually Kraft paper torn glued onto the table. I then stained the paper and about 6 coats of poly.
I also did this IKEA table in the same manner. This was taken in 2009 when it was 4 years old. I sold the table in 2015/16. It was only in the last 5 years or so that the end tables started showing their wear. This one has been outside for 2 years now though so that’s what happened to it. The other one is in the bedroom, but the paper is starting to peel.
Kay - I hope things settle for you soon.Thank you all for the compliments on our deck. I love sitting out there.
Heather - I think you and your son are making good exchanges of labour.
I always think that things have to be done all at once too. I’ve been practicing waiting the last couple of years.Kim - I thought of Annie the other day and wondered how she was doing.
Lisa - it’s good you had your memoirs done first.
My grandmother spent some months rewriting her diaries when I was a young woman. I am fortunate that she did not destroy the originals.Rita - a couple of ladies that visit their loved ones at the home have a sling type thing to carry their small dogs in. It might be an idea for when she gets tired.
Rebecca - I need to do a deep clean like that too.
I think that the way you package into smaller portions is smart. Then again, I’ve been accused of being a little OCD too. 😂Lanette - we are always encouraging the residents to hydrate. Sometimes it is a very difficult task.
I have to get back to drinking my water. I’ve been struggling with it for too long. I know once I get used to it again it will be easy.Barbie - I think you’re doing so well. The fence will look beautiful when you’re done.
Rodger bought grass seed and some weed stuff today. This made it so that we had to water the lawn and it took about 4 hours. Our water bill will probably be about $25 more this month.
I decided to take at the fridge/freezer, it was icing up on the floor of the freezer and started melting on the shelf in the fridge. I had looked at it a couple of weeks ago on my own and couldn’t find where the drain hole was. Everything I read said that a plugged drain hose was probably the culprit. Rodger came in when I was getting frustrated and realized the drain hole was probably behind a plastic cover that held the control knob. He was able to get it off and once we got all of the ice melted and cleaned up we were able to locate it. We used canned air to spray down it and then we heard it drain! It was a pain, so I really hope that doesn’t happen again.
I’m the midst of defrosting I boiled water to get some warmth into the freezer. I put a Pyrex bowl that was a gift the last time my Mom sent Christmas money to us in the freezer then poured my water into it. Well you know what happened to my bowl. It was a set of three and of course was the bowl I used most often. I’m hoping I’ll be able to find a replacement at some point. It’s just a bowl, but it upset me.I am getting ready to watch the American Idol finale, I think John Foster will win it. I have gotten pretty good and guessing the winners the last couple of years. I’ll see if I’m right.

Barbie - my DH will be gone 10 years in July. I still talk out loud to him at times (not as much as in the beginning). I have talked about my anger of him leaving, I have cursed over the stuff he was always going to do and I got left with the mess, I talk to him about the kids and grandkids and other various things. I have also given myself permission to not feel guilty for not missing some of the junk. Choosing which show to watch is an amazing freedom. Buying the food I want. Not having some of the disburbance that increased as his depression and other issues increased. You are doing great!
Kim - please don't beat yourself up too much about things that may have slipped. I think writing your friend is a good idea but if she isn't willing to acknowledge that it wasn't about her, there isn't much else you can do.
Carol - I use Mrs. Dash seasoning instead of salt. (technically it is now called Dash). The original works well for things like chicken and other meats. The lemon pepper is good on my fish. There are several others.
Tracey - I don't believe I have ever watched one episode of American Idol.
Spent much of today working on trying to stretch back and ice and heating pad. I am convinced it is muscle and arthritis. Going to give it another week to improve. It is better during the day but after a couple of hours of sleep, it acts up. I did rotate mattress last night. I am hopeful for improvement. It will make it tough going to work if I get limited sleep from it.
Heading off to bed since last night's sleep was disturbed. Didn't get nap since work was going on in basement that involved sawing and hammering and other such things. It is nearly completed and it is an improvement. It could be further enhanced but I just want it respectable.
Take care all,

Warm greetings and hugs to all who want/need them. So glad I got caught up with your adventures, stories and struggles. You inspire me.
Heather: I share your passion for interior design. I am also a bit OCD about having balance and harmony in my rooms.
Rita and Kay: Love the pups. There is a special place in heaven for dog rescuers.
Barbie: I have a shelf opposite my bed dedicated solely to choice photos of my most dearly departed. I talk to the gallery every day.
When DH was in the hospital 4 years ago this month I kept an online journal. Jotted down names of staff, what he did (or didn't do), and my frustrations with the entire situation. A few days ago I started feeling a sense of PTSD. In the midst of the drama I was always cool, composed and rational. But it was darn hard! And as many of you will remember, I would come back from being at the hospital 10 hours, and have to care for my dying DB at home. This went on for 31 days, which in retrospect is a blip in time. But it's taken me till now to reflect back, shed some tears, and feel sad for myself. Did alot of second guessing. Shook me to my core and I was an emotional mess for 2 days. I also began to wonder how hard it was from the POV of my DH, especially once he was put into a chemical strait jacket. So, in one of my "chats" I flat out asked him if he regrets being in the hospital the final month of his life. That night he told me in a dream that his medications put him on another plane. And the sensation was alot like surfing (his lifelong passion). That made me feel better.
As for that journal, I still write everyday, but have no intention of ever revisiting that past chapter.
Looking forward to tomorrow! My friend N arrives in the morning and we have some fun stuff planned. Golden Goobers date #9 will surely put a smile on my face. He also promises to help me get over the end of the season for my basketball team. I've worked hard to get my little condo, deck and car spit polished. Moved many inside plants outside onto a new shelving unit I bought to replace an ancient coffee table. Sorry I didn't take any photos yet…Time to just exhale and get some rest before early airport run.
Stay well, friends. We can do this.

Some days are a lot harder than others. Some days are more emotional than others- It has been almost 4 1/2 yrs since dad died.

On water …
"Up to 60% of the human adult body is water.
According to Mitchell and others (1945), the brain and heart are composed of 73% water, and the lungs are about 83% water. The skin contains 64% water, muscles and kidneys are 79%, and even the bones are watery: 31%."
"While the average percentage of water in a person’s body is around 60%, the percentage can vary from roughly 45–75%.
For example, babies have a high percentage of water in their bodies, which decreases with age.
Also, fatty tissue contains less water than muscle, so the percentage of water can vary with body type."
Where is water in the body
Mostly in the brain and kidneys!
Kidneys
"Your kidneys filter about 200 quarts of fluid every day — enough to fill a large bathtub. During this process, your kidneys remove waste, which leaves your body as urine (pee). Most people pee about two quarts daily. Your body re-uses the other 198 quarts of fluid.
Your kidneys also help balance your body’s fluids (mostly water) and electrolytes. Electrolytes are essential minerals that include sodium and potassium."
If you consume high quantities of protein, it is recommended that you drink lots of water to counteract the potential damage the protein may cause.
Brain
"Studies show that even mild dehydration, such as the loss of 1–3% of body weight, can impair many aspects of brain function.
In a study in young women, researchers found that fluid loss of 1.4% after exercise impaired both mood and concentration. It also increased the frequency of headaches"
One of the things I've started doing on Tuesdays, my swimming lesson day, is to drink about 400 ml of water in one go at about 2 pm … in addition to my normal consumption.
I've noticed a couple things: 1. I don't get cramps in my legs and feet when I'm swimming (I did on the first evening when I did not have this extra drink of water), and 2. I perk right up for the rest of the afternoon. I've got more energy than when I drink a cup of coffee.
