    Hi

    If the group is 'private' - after you click the Join button, your request to join will be approved by a leader, then the group will show in your groups list and you will be able to see the content/discussions in the private group.

    Also, depending on your settings, you can get notices when someone tags you with @ before your name, when you are accepted into a group, and other things.
