Why is the age limit so high?
Why do you have to be 18 and up to have this app what if you're younger then that and need this app?

My thought is that it's for safety's sake and to prevent possible body image issues for teens who may not quite have a handle on navigating weight-centered ideas and discussions.

Because the majority of minorities GO TO THE EXTREME when it comes to weight loss. They have no patience and expect quick results. Also there's a lot of body dysmorphia with teenage girls so they will attempt diets that have little to no nutritional value and will disregard advice from experts regardless of how sound it is.
Harsh as it sounds, companies can't be responsible for having minorities using services or products deemed for adults. Where I work now, we can't sell energy drinks to minorities.
