Dh has had so many issues with late and lost packages from Amazon recently. He does order a lot(that man LOVES to shop) They stop here about every other day or more often. Sometimes a few times in one day. He does complain about the cost of Prime but will keep it.
Customer Service has gotten really bad.
I had a order come in- sealed up completely but, also completely EMPTY- I contacted them and they sent out a new one, thought things were taken care of until I got an email saying if I didn't return the first one, they would charge my account. I called three times total for that order before it was corrected.
Sorry, how am I supposed to return something I didnt get.
Another one was flea treatment- we used one, didn't do a thing so I contacted them and asked for a refund for both-they said no problem, again- get an email stating they were going to charge my account if I didn't send the second one back(first one I sent, second was the used one that I had thrown away when I used it). Again, so many calls to fix the problem.
Yes, you do have to keep track of what you order. I had ordered something, forgot about it and happened to look at my orders and realized-hey, I never got that.

Yep, I don't see her doing that, but I can mention it to her.๐Ÿ˜

Yep the ones by the carport door have old brick under them from probably 80 years ago. So she'll have to get sand to wedge those safely down. I am not quite sure way she decided to put them down right before her birthday party with 25+ people coming. But she's a putter-er.๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ’–

Rebecca: I drink 1 or 2 Black ice coffees a day. I make it with the Keurig and the McDonalds, Starbucks and Dunkin are all next to each other! I go to all 3. This will be such an improvement! Thank you!

Debbie ~ What an amazing garden you and your people have planted! I can only imagine all the work that it involved and surely hope the harvest is plentiful!

Heather ~ Sorry about the chair and the leak. Would it be possible to return the chair?

Walked to Food Lion. Didnโ€™t realize that my coupon for free apples expires in 2 days, so I got some. Iโ€™ll probably make an apple pie. Went to Aldi today and bought apples. Totally forgot that I had a coupon for free ones. Oh well...Vince hasnโ€™t had an apple pie in a while

Jess should be here tomorrow. I think she has some sort of appt. So I made brownie cookies for her. Will have to stop at WalMart tomorrow after the soup kitchen because didnโ€™t realize Vince needs milk. Totally forgot to get the feta for the spinach feta pie so maybe Iโ€™ll get it then

Deb โ€“ we get Revolution for the cats from Sierra Pet Meds. They come from Australia, of all places, but itโ€™s the same stuff only much cheaper. You might want to check them out. Weโ€™ve never had a problem

Rebecca โ€“ my neighbor didnโ€™t put down landscape material but just river rocks. A few years later she had to put more rocks down. I do hope your sister will do that

Wasnโ€™t there someone on here who used bluetooth headphones with their TV? Which ones did you use. Tell me about them

Ceramics tonight so we need to have dinner early.

I think once the paving stones are down, it's too late for the ground cover, without having to cut it to fit. Too much work, so I'm sure it will be fine, and if it needs more pebbles in a couple years that's an easy fix. It's going to look great!

I'm reading along. Sorry for some of the sadness, yogi and some undefined. It's been a quiet day here, which has been nice.

Dh was thinking the same thing about this being stress related.
He said he slept until 2PM yesterday. He is feeling a bit better. Stress is getting better, until Tuesday afternoon when the care home owner told him that because she is having so much trouble getting good help there that she is planning on selling the place-It is a private home. We don't know if it will continue to be a care home or if they will have it as a regular home.

mom isn't able to do much of the actual planting/picking in the regular garden but does in the raised beds- I think there are about 40 of them. For some reason though, she is still only focusing on weeding around the raised beds, not about getting them planted. She can plant them as they are a good height. She was pulling weeds when I got there Tuesday, pulled weeds for a time while I was planting the garden and the raised beds. Most of the raised beds are sitting empty, she says she is going to plant them, and she has planted a couple of them. I got all but one of the raised beds by the big garden all planted yesterday. The ones closest to the house are the ones she needs to plant. She needs to plant carrots, beets, chard, basil, etc

I very rarely wore a watch until I got my Fitbit. Now only take it off to charge it.

and this is half of what we used to plant when I was a kid- We always planted a full acre. It was to feed us and the extended family. Fun to have my grandparents , aunts/uncles/cousins/friends all come out to help pick and process it for all of us. We raised all of our own food- meat and veggies. Bought very little from the store.

The 2 British shows I enjoy are Britain's Most Historic Towns with Professor Alice Roberts. And Penelope Keith's Hidden Villages.

You're quite welcome.๐Ÿ˜ There are various flavors too. My first bag was a mocha one, and you can taste the 2 espresso shots in there! This one of the photo, is ok, but today I added some of my sisters sugar free creamer and it was better!

Do you and your mom still need to plant so much?

How much of it do you use?

Personally, I would pick them up again, lay plastic to block out the weeds, then put them down.

Then I'd lay gravel around them.

    Along these lines โ€ฆ

I have had a lot of personal stuff going on for the last two weeks. Cried so much that I don't think there are any tears left but think at the moment things are better. Getting an appointment to see a dr around here takes weeks so I have just had to put up with myself and try to get better. Praying that peace will prevail.

Carol, are you on anti-depressants? If not, you might want to have a chat with your doctor about them. I have found that they help me cope with the bad stuff.

Stress & Sleep - Speaking of which, I completely understand the need for sleep after a long, stressful situation. After the past 7 years, I often think I would love to take about 6 months off work, stay home, sleep 12+ hours a night, and do a bit of exercise.

    @Rosemarie2972 โ€ฆ I'm 58 and I've never had a manicure. Maybe I'll be 94 before I have one. ๐Ÿ˜„

Spending less on dry cleaning is a goal of mine and i am paying more attention to how I shop and finding items that will wash/dry/hang before I purchase. I love jeans and many people here wear them all year round. But I can't. I switch to cotton or a cotton/blend in the summer and either iron or dry clean more!

I wear cotton clothes, but definitely do not iron or dry clean them. I do the same with them as with everything else:

    • cold wash
    • hang to dry

But I will say that I refuse to buy linen clothes. They increased in popularity through the COVID years but thankfully they aren't as popular now. Linen clothes wrinkle so badly.

Personal card readers - I have seen card readers used at markets, of course, but I don't think I've ever heard of someone who has a personal card reader.

In Australia, many/most of us have apps on our phones so we can do bank transfers. We just need to know the BSB number and Account Number, a few taps and it's done. We use it to donate $5 to a work colleague's kid who is raising money at school. We use it to pay for deliveries. We use it to buy stuff from each other (paying for stuff in stores is slightly different).

Markets etc. used to have big card readers (like a brick) but now they have a little white tile on their tables which connects to their phones. When we buy something, we tap the tile and it's done.

    @LisaInArkansas โ€ฆ pretty fans!
