@LittleSurferGirl7 HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Hope you had a nice time and celebrate thru the weekend (I do that, why not). Or win some $$ at the casino.

Your story was quite interesting, and I believe it.

Last night I tried something new - I added a pinch of ground turmeric and powdered ginger (good quality one) to my lemon juice (Santa Cruz brand) and club soda(from a can so it's very fizzy). And it was a delicious drink - and very anti-inflammatory. Too bad it didn't help me get quality sleep. Still working on that.

Thanks @chicbuc, @globalhiker and @Michieb125 I did have a nice day. I didn't go gambling. We just hung out. The weather was nice. Although, it got a bit hot in the afternoon. We grilled some jumbo shrimp and small lobster tails with a small salad on the side.

You all seem to be right on track with your goals. As you know, I don't like to predict when my Day 1 will be…every time I do, I end up being a liar. But, I will be on board with all of you soon! 👍

    Happy belated birthday @LittleSurferGirl7 !!!

    Welcome newbies!
Sounds like everyone is doing well. I had a successful weekend, only two drinks each day, which is a win. I had two glasses last night and probably will tonight as well due to dinner plans . However , I’ve been doing a great job of getting my stuff done! It feels amazing.

@chicbuc Your plan for AF 2 days in a row/A Day/back to AF 2 days in a row sounds like a very good plan.

I woke up again with no alcohol in the house. So, I am AF so far for the day. Although, it's only 9 am 😐️ But I'm going to try my best to be AF today. When I woke up this morning, the first thing I thought was getting up and mixing a drink. It's such a habit or routine.

I've got a few plants to add drip nozzles to later. But that's easy because I already have the supply lines in and I feel pretty good today. Other than that, I have a few easy things to do in the house. Anyways, I'm really hoping to be AF today. For some reason, Day 1 is always the hardest for me.

@itladyee I agree with you on the LA category. If I were to only have one drink, I would still count that as an A day. But, we all know that I could never have just one drink. Alcohol, to me, is like Lays potato chips…I can't have just one!

@globalhiker Congratulations on 10 months AF. I hear ya on having a drink after not drinking for a long time. I've actually only had a two or three week streak before and decided to have a few drinks. After just one, I was very buzzed.

Best wishes to your husband. My husband recently had an MRI, and also has some sort of problem with a few of his discs. He didn't really explain it that well to me. But, he may need surgery also.

I agree as we get older, we really need to take better care of ourselves. When we were younger, it was effortless to stay in good shape. But, old age does creep up on you if you're not careful.

Well, I didn't make it AF today. Although, I waited until 3 pm to start drinking. Yesterday, I started at 12:30 pm. In the afternoon, the anxiety thing increased. So I'll just keep trying. But, I think I'll wait until I've made some progress to post.

    Have a nice night everyone!

@globalhiker OMG you are so right about the stages of menopause changing everything in terms of losing or even maintaining weight! It just does not come off! So frustrating because I am healthy and active, and yet…

I’m sorry to hear about your husband’s back issues. Sounds painful, but hopefully PT will help tremendously.

I had two drinks last night at dinner out with a friend. I should just start with wine instead of a cocktail, because I know I’ll order a glass of wine afterwards. For some reason a cocktail with dinner doesn’t work. Also, yesterday I got off track with getting stuff done, but am back at it today. Getting back on the horse is the best thing. Just shake yesterday off and get at it today.

Hope everyone has a great day!
