I'm just going to stay in slightly better shape than you. That'll buy me some time.0
-
And by "stay" i mean "get"0

My plan is to hang around my parents. It's not very nice of me, but I know I can out walk.....let alone out run either one of them! Lol0
-
bring it on, old man.0

You guys crack me up!
I carry a Smith & Wesson, shoot em in the head, works every time.0 -
Old?? OLD???
That's it. I'm going to get in slightly better shape than you and then purposely get bitten by a zombie. You know what happens next.0 -
I have it on good authority that some of my "friends" are planning to throw me to the zombies to buy themselves more time to get away. It doesn't matter what I do.0

This is exactly the type of motivation I was looking for. If a zombie apocalypse won't get me moving, nothing will.0

First of all I Steve Kamb. Second this works, at least as far as avoiding angry yelling vagrants in the park and people bumming for money on the street corner... It's gotta work for zombies too!0

Much agreed. . Smith & Wesson all the way~0 -
Everyone's so intent on running away from the zombies and leaving their hapless pudgy friends behind as zombie bait. Forget that! I'm getting a chain saw with an aluminum baseball bat backup.
P.S. 7 day wait for the Smith & Wesson.... no wait at Home Depot for the chain saw. mwahahahahaha!!0 -

the problem with both is that they don't have an effective range. you need to get pretty close. and what, you're just going to carry around extra gas for that chainsaw?
i'm sticking to my M1 Garand, and blue crowbar, however those are more for the survivors, then the zombies. i see a zombie, i'm running.0 -

read the article! the guy makes a good point, in that it doesn't matter if you can run a marathon, if you are doing a 9 minute mile. the zombie will catch you in the first 40 yards. you need good sprinting skills.0 -

Hence the baseball bat backup. I know that I"m not fast. I'm not a runner at all. However, since I box and do heavy weight lifting... the bat should be pretty effective. Also, I do remember how to siphon gas. Who needs a can, I just need a hose.0 -
