I FINALLY got FOUR BRAND NEW BENTO BOXES today, and I'm thinking if making this ready made pasta meal to take with me (it make two portions, fairly healthy)...

...but I have no idea what else to pack in the box...

I have a two-tiered box. It's the lube sheep urara blue dragonfly if anyone is wondering.

Also, it'll have to be fairly easy, and also filling, as i am a college student and thus constantly broke. But I have food. :D

Costco has pre-steamed edemame - seems appropriate for the bento box and high in protein. Any other beans to toss in the pasta would be good, too, if you don't have or like edemame. Baby carrots? Frozen peas? Frozen fruit? Almonds? Hummus to dip your carrots? Pita wedges to dip as well? I'll be interested to see the other suggestions - good question!

Is it calorically (yay for made up words!!!) incorrect to put onigiri (riceballs) AND pasta in the same box? I love rice balls, but something sounds wrong about that...I don't know why...

Some tofu or meat for protein, and some veggies.

I don't know what's in your pasta meal, but normally you'd have your carb, a protein, and fruit and/or veggies. Onigiri are awesome, but if you have those and pasta your meal would be almost all from one category and it's best to have variety. :)
