I am starting the carnivore diet today. Do you have any tips?

I hope you do great! I went to meat only in May as part of an elimination diet for an autoimmune issue and for weight loss.
Plan your meals just as you would any other time. I log my meals a day in advance and it really helps me stay on track. Cut up large pieces of meat into chunks and freeze in single portions to make mealtime easy. Make your own pemmican; this is a great on the go meal and cheaper than buying pre made bars. You can use an oven if you don’t have a dehydrator. I like to make a big batch of chicken wings in the air fryer and keep them in the fridge for a quick meal or side. The skin gets extra crispy and it’s so good cold for lunch on a hot summer day. Keep some plain pork belly and/or beef fat trimmings on hand to help you up your fat intake. And you may get sick of bacon, gasp I know 🤭 I did anyway. Also, cold salted butter makes a great snack, Kerry Gold is my preference. Have a main dish, like a steak or pork chop and have a side of chicken wings or air fried fat or whatever you like. This helps with fatigue from eating only meat.
Experiment with food, even if you don’t like something. I don’t like pemmican cold, but room temp is really good. I am not a big fan of eggs, but the yolks mixed with heavy cream and cooked in butter are delicious.
How you eat will of course depend on why you’re trying carnivore. From what I’ve heard dairy can be a problem for inflammation as well as weight loss. Seed oils and plants including herbs and spices are not in the strictest form of the diet either. So how strict will you be?
Be careful with electrolytes. Some people say you need extra if you have diarrhea but the electrolytes themselves can do that to you as well. Some people say you need them because you may be more prone to dehydration on carnivore. I don’t believe in all the supposed benefits of sole water, but I do start my day with a teaspoon in a small glass of water simply for the hydration benefits. It’s way cheaper than electrolytes and if I sweat a lot I can have more. I watched a video from Nutrition with Judy on YouTube and went to her website for the sole water info. I keep electrolytes on hand just in case as we live in the desert and sweat happens.
Get your bloodwork done so you have something to compare to next year. Take pictures now and as you make progress.
If you’re under eating then your metabolism is going to be slow and your body will think you’re starving so it won’t burn the stored fat. Figure out your basal metabolic rate and then use a TDEE calculator for a carnivore diet and your specific factors to help you with determining calories. I had to eat more than I thought at first and it was a little bit of a struggle because meat and fat are so much more satisfying.
I hope that helps and if you have any other questions let me know.
